New! Grapher plugin for Isadora 3 [Public Beta]
-
Dear All,
I've just published a new plugin that I created for the Isadora Werkstatt called Grapher. For my "What Do You Do With the Data?" workshop, I wanted the participants to be able to visualize the streams of numbers that werecoming in, and what effect things like the Smoother actor had on those values. So I created Grapher to accomplish that goal.
I don't know if this actor is something you'd use in a show. But for those of you who are teaching Isadora to others, it may prove to be a useful tool.
The only person who has tested this plugin is me -- so it's essentially untested. I'm hoping it will work well as it's relatively simple, but if you experience issues with it, let me know and I'll try to fix them.
That said: DO NOT USE GRAPHER IN A MISSION CRITICAL SITUATION UNTIL THE PUBLIC BETA TAG IS REMOVED!
The Mac and Windows plugins are both in the download link.

@mark When feeding a square wave the graphical output is a triangle.

Yes, I've seen that. It's only sampling a value when a new one arrives, and so you end up with incorrect output in that situation. Consider your bug report logged. I won't be able to dig into this until next week, after Sep 23rd 2019.
Best Wishes,

Wonderful! Seriously, the fact that you people find ways to use this particular plugin artistically is a complete surprise to me. Rock on. ;-)
