[LOGGED] mapping circle troubles > publishing output quad offset has strange behavior
-
hi,
I'm trying to use controllers to do mapping of my projector,
the output is a circle, and to shape it I publish coordinates of quad points,
but the response is really strange, I can't find a logic in it, nore go back to default, reset output or path doesn't work , and I can't even zoom out enough in izzy map to get my hands back on the shape, Thanks a lot -
especially when you start moving point 4 coordinates... it seems numbers are not coherent, when you change direction, it 's not matching with numbers logically...

Hi, I downloaded your .izz but I don't see 4 publish points. I just see
composite 1 : offset X
composite 1 : offset y
composite 1 : scale all
could you try this .izz I publish 4 points of circle (circle is input off izzimap) and 4 points of OUTPUT QUAD
If it was not your question at all I'm sorry my English is not really good
Best

yes maybe my publish point were not there,
but if you publish one corner of the square and try to move it changing the value of the box, it 's incoherent... I can't open your file it makes my isa crashing...,-(thanks for your help though

here I tried a clearer patch, start your live capture setting to get the video in watcher working,
thanks for your help; -) -
I can confirm this unexpected behaviour. It is not limited to the circle shape, but to the composition layer in general. It even ist influenced by other mapping layers outside the composit layer.
This is true for V 3.0.7 as well as V 3.0.8.See Video:

Perhaps you are not aware that you may need to publish the handles for each point as well to get full control of the point.
So each point ends up with 6 published points I believe. 2 for the point, and 2 for each of the 2 handles. -
I guess this is not about the layers input, which works fine, but about the corner points of the composition output.
See my previous post. -

I've verified this. It's sorry to say you've discovered a bug with the modulation of the Output Quad. It has been logged and we will look into it right away.
Until we offer you a fix, I don't think there is a workaround.
Best Wishes,

@mark thanks ! I hope It ll be easy to solve it soon , cos publishing output points is really convenient ( not to say essential) to allow mapping through a TouchOSC layout on tablet with your nose on the pixel limit!

@mark i think there s also a pb on the zoom if thé output point goes beyond the workplace limit, zooming out doesn t allow to catch the handle back...
