      Hi All:

      I have been throwing myself into learning Unreal Engine-4 (UE4) and am interesting in connecting Izzy in various ways.  I have also been working with the Rokoko SmartSuite and 3D character live animation streaming.  UE4 does not use Syphon as a video output stream (UE4 uses SPOUT).  As I am Mac-based, I'm wondering if anyone has explored how to get viewport outputs from UE4 into Izzy.   There are SO many possibilities in connecting these two programs.

      Anyone else working with these two programs and attempting interconnections?

        @kdobbe NDI is a good option for getting in and out of UE4

            Seems as though the UE4 Plugin for NDI is Windows only...

              Hi there kdobbe,

              I'm currently looking into possible solutions for you; could you please state what hardware you wish to run this on / what version of UE4 you have installed & wish to use.

              Thanks !

                @juriaan

                I would be running this on a Mac Pro running Big Sur OS.  I am using 4.26 Unreal Engine 4 software.  Looking to syphon viewport window into Isadora 3.08.

                That would be awesome!

                  Have you considered working with Unity, instead of Unreal?

                  There is a Syphon plug-in

                  https://github.com/keijiro/Kla...

                  I used it to make 3D mapping in Isadora some time ago and it worked perfectly.

                  Syphon way and back, OSC to move the 3D.

                    Yes.  I have however invested a great deal of time learning UE4 to this point (not to mention sizable investment in 3D model assets).  Although a good deal of basic concepts will transfer to Unity, having to relearn 3-years of investigation makes me pause.

                    I am also waiting to see what happens with the Epic-Apple issue.  If support continues to fall away for Apple from Epic... I will switch to Unity.
