      Hi there,

thinking about a new capture card for a new isadora setup.
Are there any recommendations? Up to now we used BMD Decklink - does Isadora also work with AJA, Magewell, Datapath .. ?

      Thank you!
      Farah

        BMD Decklink

Black Magic Design is accelerated via the integration of their interface in Isadora. Any other hardware will work if it used the standard OS interfaces, but will not have 'special' support.

It would be interesting to know what other hardware users are having success using with Isadora?

this is interesting to hear. What is the 'special support' and 'accelerated' interface you are referring to? I never recognized any major differences to other capture devices.

@dillthekraut We have used the Black Magic Designs capture/playback SDk to integrate directly with their hardware. My understanding is that it is meant to both simplify the process of working with BMD devices and offer some speed advantages. https://www.blackmagicdesign.c...
I don't have any specific speed tests that I can reference. BlackMagicDesign is the only vendor-specific hardware driver currently supported in Isadora, so it is "special' ;) all others are supported via the OS media interfaces.
