I'm a big fan of wearable sensors and I just ran across these gloves that aren't released yet but look neat: https://mimugloves.com/gloves/

I'm excited to see reviews and hear more about them once they come out.

I used the original MiMu Gloves a few times. the local university has a couple of pairs. the Glover App is pretty good - its like OSCulator on steroids.
The system runs on a dedicated WiFi channel, so you need a router specifically for the gloves, but once its connected, its pretty stable.
The main problem I found was that the hardware isn't all that hardwearing. Because they've been developed primarily for musicians to control their DAW with gestures - as soon as you give them to a dancer, who then tries them out with some floor work, the brackets that hold the transmitter packs to the gloves will all snap. It's easy enough to gaffa tape them back on though. (EDIT: hopefully the new 2024 design is somewhat stronger)

@woland couple years back i tried using a microbit connected to the mimu glover software (trial) and it worked. Pretty cool. I didn't persue because wasn't a priority at the time. But if you have a microbit around....
