      I could check with my SpaceNavigator but I'm 90% sure the 3D Connexion products are not HIDs

          I stand mostly corrected. Check this out for some potentially useful info: http://www.3dconnexion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=18555

            @MatthewH
            Just plugged in my 3DConnexion and it is recognized in Isadora as HID.

                    I use it on a Mac, can't say anything for windows. Did you tick the checkbox to "Auto-Detect Input"?
                    someone else?

                        @olialonso,

                        Well, hmmmm. That's strange. I'll check with some other HID devices on the PC later this week. Can you file a proper bug report using the **[Bug Report/Feature Request FORM](http://troikatronix.com/support/isadora/ "opens a new window") **so I won't lose track of this?
                        Best Wishes,
