winder if anyone has experienced what I experienced today
Yes, I have had users in the past have issues getting OSC data into Touch. I don't remember the fix, it was something simple, like a forward slash at the end of an OSC address (or something like that). In the end it was always dealt with on the Touch side. It appeared that Isadora's behaviour was correct and consistent between platforms.
That's not a supported codec.

- Apple ProRes 442.mov (macOS only)
- Apple ProRes 4444.mov (macOS only, Alpha Channel)
- .wmv (Windows only)
- H264.mp4 (Does not support interactive playback, e.g. reverse speeds or scrubbing)
- H264.mov (Does not support interactive playback, e.g. reverse speeds or scrubbing)
- Mp3 - Audio only
Try setting "Display Refresh" (to the right of Target Frame Rate) to "Off" on macOS. If I recall correctly, if that's enabled, it does its best to produce a frame rate that plays nicely with your display.
Hi, I've done this test on three different computers. 1 PC windows 10 pro, 1 Mac Monterey and 1 Mac Catalina. All using Isadora v 3.2.6
In Isadora preferences if I change the frame rate from 29.97 to 6 fps it only changes on the PC, the two Macs don't change. And no I'm not using 6fps, I wanted to see a definite visual change in the video.
So in some situations when I use an external BM video card, on Mac the video is twitchy looking like frame rate is off somewhere but making that change in preferences does nothing. And on the PC I can make those changes to make the video play correctly.
Re: [DXv codec](/topic/876/dxv-codec)
A bit old but I’m trying to do the same thing mentioned in this article for the alpha channel.
Can someone explain why isadora might be throwing this error after i’ve installed the codecs with the alley installer and relaunched Izzy?
I figured it out. Sinusoidal modulation:
modulatedParameterValue = parameterBaseValue + Math.sin(currentPhase) * modulationDepth * audioAmplitude;
I use a wave generator to supply the phase and it really looks super cool. With a smoother on the other side of it I can get a tone of great audio reactive modulations.
@fred thanks for the info. I'll keep it in mind.
It's not very likely for me to try it in the near future. I don't find the time to play with ISADORA. And when I have a bit of it, there's a list of many other things to do and try.
@woland Yes, I tried that - doesn't work. I'll DM you.

I don't feel like giving them my email and making an account right now, but if they're just FFGL plugins (which it looks like they are) then you should be able to put them in the folder that opens when you do this and then quit and re-launch Isadora:
Like this: SoftCropper | Effect | The Resolume marketplace (get-juicebar.com)
Brilliant!
There are some great plugins available at JuiceBar. Is there a way to make them work in Isadora?
Cheers,
Hugh
