hello, I winder if anyone has experienced what I experienced today for the first time in my life in osc
I was connected to a dedicated router in DHCP like with other computer. So everybody was was on similar adresses 1923.168.10.xxx I was sending to 2 computers osc data. we triple checked ip adresses and port both manually and with Angry IP. All was fine from this point of voew. I was in Isadora and 2 other computers where on TouchDesigner. I am on a mac in Isadora and the 2 others were a mac and one a pc, all on TouchDesigner. The mac was receiving my OSC data but not the pc. But... the pc was receiving OSC from the other mac (both on TouchDesigner). Now, the problem seems to be the pc receving my osc because I was able=to send osc to the other mac on the network. Now, I do not know a lot on networking prefs on oc.
Has any of you experienced anything similar or have an idea ?
Thanks
Hello,
I am in the process of rewriting some patches I did years ago. One of the functions was to use audio to modulate things like position, scale etc based on audio. I did not want simple additive amplitude modulation, I wanted the modulation to wiggle back and forth from the current value of the parameter like an audio wave.
One method I used was a bit of math combining the amplitude with the random wave at 60hz. I think I split the random value in half, anything under 50 was - and anything over 50 was positive. Then multiplied this with the audio and scaled it with an "influence" parameter to move stuff around.
The other was using a version of an overlay transfer but i'm not sure that was successful.
Edit: I found a cleaner version of this formula online:
// For 'a' base layer, 'b' top layer.
if (a < 0.5) { result = 2 * a * b;
} else { result = 1 - 2 * (1 - a) * (1 - b);
}
It's a combination of a multiply transfer math for values under .5 and a screen transfer math for values over .5
is there a better way to accomplish this?
Thales says there a been fix as been applied. Please notify us by opening a ticket if you see the download problem again.
Best Wishes,
Mark

Any chance to get an Isadora plugin in foreseeable time?
We're extremely busy at the moment so I doubt we can take this on right now, but the SDK is available on the TroikaTronix Get It Page under "RELATED DOWNLOADS" if anyone with programming chops wants to take a stab at it :)
Thank you,
Looks very interesting and powerful...
and fun to play around with.

My idea came from having the option of changing the stage setup at the press of a button. DMX triggered! As I'm working on a EOS Fixture to be presented in 2 weeks from now. :
Like for Example
Channel 100: > XGA (1024x768 pixels, 4:3 aspect ratio)
Channel 101: > WXGA (1280x800 pixels, 16:10 aspect ratio):
Channel 102: > WUXGA (1920x1200 pixels, 16:10 aspect ratio):
Best

Yes, I asked them before about this, and they said "no"... but I will ask again. (Have you seen the ridiculously long EULA [pages and pages to scroll through] they make users agree to before downloading? I guess it's because they are a security company, but it shows that they are extremely cautious which is why they said "no" previously to my request.)
Sincerely,
Mark
Hi, I'm on a mac, but I'll try to help giving you my experience.
I have the same interface and used it for years. I had to download drivers from enttec website. And drivers were not updated for all versions of the mac systems. So I gave up on the enttec interface. But now all the updated drivers are installed directly by enttec app EMU. Did you install EMU ? In this way you have all the updated drivers. Even if you don't use the app you need it so you have the drivers and can configure the interface. Did you install it it could be as simple as that
Good luck !
Hi there,
I am (trying) to use enttec pro mk2 for show. I am having trouble to set up serial port (Isa is freezing&crashing COMs are disappearing, no. 4 constantly busy). I have some feeling it is a set up problem. This is happening on special partition/win install for shows. I was able to run test on office win partition which is bloated by many things. So it is really somehow currious. The only different thing us, that show i stance uses midi. (Collecting signals from sensors via rassberry which is programmed that ut outputs midi. On windows side it uses midi loop and vmpk - winkeyboard in order to get it to isa.
Anybody please has an idea - maybe it is a wrong set up somewhere?
Thanks
