I have a case where I want to use a user actor for mapping a lot of small pieces, but I want to use the same mapping for an alpha layer, but the pieces in the two need to have different blend modes. It would be great if the projector blend mode had some other options, like when the mapper was engaged the blend modes still worked, so they could be additive, transparent opaque OR mapper. and when the mapper was used and transparent was selected it would set all the mapper pieces to transparent. If it was set back to mapper then it would use the blend setting of the individual pieces. I think there are other options for doing this, but a way of having the smae mapping with different blend modes for using alpha layers with different projectors into the mapper would be cool.
That question came up when Dusx explained about the stage layout and that made me doubt. Returning to the original theme therefore the masking tool is still the Edge Blend Mask, right? Many thanks Best,
My guess is that the layers don't read across scenes?
The default layering mode does not read across scenes, rather it 'flattens' each scene to provide the cleanest possible scene transition.
There is another layering mode available, that does not flatten scenes, and provides the cross scene layering you were looking for. Note: You can change the layering mode for the entire project only. The setting is available Under File/Layering
It would be lovely to have more blend mode options built directly into the projector. I know there is an actor that allows you to blend two video streams. It would be super cool however to have this option at the projector level. Suggested additional blend modes:
