Thunderbolt Hard drives

I have a few computers now with thunderbolt and since the MBP retina it has become a lot more useful. I was cautious about the small to mid level storage systems but after some research I picked up a G-raid 8tb thunderbolt drive system. This has 2 spinning drives, not SSDs and a huge 8tb of space. However the speed is still very impressive. I have attached the blackmagic disk speed test (so far I have only filled almost 2tb but it is not empty performance).

I would have love to gone with an SSD drive solution but they just dont have enough space.
