Capture device

Hi! looking for a word of advice

I am starting to search for an external device to capture HDMI. My idea is to connect a canon 700D to the computer to use its image with Izzy. Some time ago people was talking about "Intensity shuttle" by Blackmagic. Is this still a preferred option?

I have a the UltraStudio Mini Recorder it has SDI and HDMI input and costs $ 145.- I use it with my Sony a7s, works great. I am on a Mac, so if you do not have a thunderbolt connection on the PC you are better of with an USB device from Blackmagic. But I don't know how well BM performs on PC.
