World Premiere Frantic Beauty at BAM Fisher
-
Dear TroikaTronix Community,
My company LEIMAY will have a world premiere at BAM Fisher(Brooklyn, NY) next week(September 14-17)
In this piece, we are using Isadora with 7 video projectors. And we don't use any theater lights. These links are the excerpts of the last two pieces with similar configuration I did.
If you would like to see our work with video projection, strong physical movement along with wonderful composition, please come experience the piece!

Hope to see you at the theater!
All my best,

Combining the LEIMAY Ensemble's LEIMAY Ensemble's signature physicality, layered over vivid visual landscapes, FRANTIC BEAUTY engulfs audiences in a minimalistic yet immersive environment juxtaposing trembling and harmonious images to reflect on society’s pursuit of and relationship to beauty. This world premiere sets visceral vocalizations and scattered soliloquies against the contrasting movements of Emmy-winning composer, Jeff Beal's(House of Cards), original score. FRANTIC BEAUTY is part of the BECOMING pentalogy, a series dealing with matter’s constant state of becoming through growth and decay, beginnings and endings.
September 14th - 17th, 2017
Performance time 8:00 PM (Sunday 6:00 PM)
BAM Fisher 321 Ashland Place,
Brooklyn, NY 11217

I just fixed it so it should be fine now.

Dear @Shigezo
The videos look fantastic! I'll promote this on the Isadora page in in the next couple of days. I would just link directly to the BAM page at http://www.bam.org/dance/2017/... - yes?
Best Wishes,
Mark -
Saw the performance tonight and it was fantastic! @Shigezo used 7 projectors masterfully to create architecture out of light, for illuminating the performers, and to project gorgeous content. I was particularly taken with a section in which he created jagged-yet-soft, organic-yet-artificial splashes of seemingly-living light-forms that pulsated on the ground like beating hearts and were simultaneously graceful and attractively grotesque. Go see it if you get the chance, there are still two days left!

However, thank you so much for your offer.
It means a lot to me.
I wish you could see it.
All my best,
Shigezo
