[TICKET CREATED] Issues with playback on windows laptop



  • Hi, guys 

    I have problems with playback Hap Avi and Hap Mov files on Isadora 3. I use 3 files with resolution 1920/744. Two of them are Hap with alpha channel, the third file is without alpha and stay behind as a background in palindrome mode (I've tried once with a MOV files and once with AVI files, the results are the same). My issues is that I can't use different speed than 1 if I want smooth playback, palindrome loop doesn't work. PB Engine stays at WM mode by default (If I change the mode to DS or QT issues stays the same).

    I've download demo of Resolume and the same files working fine, without any problems.

    I think the speed control and loop modes are basic functionality in every VJ and media server software. It's ridicules these doesn't work in Isadora 

    I've tried composition on two different windows laptops, unfortunately without any luck:

    1. Asus ROG G751 - Intel Core i7-4870HQ 2.50GHz, RAM 16GB, GeForce GTX 980M 4GB,
    1TB SSD, Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit

    2. Dell Precision 7530 - Intel Core i7-8750H, Six Core 2.20GHz, 4.10GHz Turbo, NVIDIA Quadro P3200 w/6GB GDDR5, 32GB DDR4 Memory, 1TB SSD, Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit

    Please guys, I hope someone give me solution for theses issues, because for me Isadora without properly working Movie Player is useless and I think I spend my money for nothing.

    Please create an support ticket at https://support.troikatronix.c..., provide the files and give them as much detail as possible. Without the files we really can't see what is going on on this forum, the support staff of Isadora is also aware of all the latest issues / workarounds / best practices for these type of issues.

As Juriaan said, please create a support ticket at https://support.troikatronix.c.. and include as much information as you can about the movies: resolution, whether or not you enabled Snappy compression, etc. One of our team will get back to you. Do keep in mind that this week is the Isadora Werkstatt gathering in Berlin -- all of the team are hear and it's a busy time. It may take 48 hours for them to get back to you.
