[ANSWERED] iOSscreen via Izzy to Stage
-
I was wondering, if there is actually a way to route the screen from my iPhone (wirelessly) through Isadora to a Stage Output?
Best regards, Tom

there are many ways. hardware: Apple TV to a HDMI capture card. Software: EpocCam (or similar) and Syphon through to Isadora using Syphoner (or similar)

There is also the native NDI solution: https://troikatronix.com/plugi...
The NDI Plugin can grab a video feed from an NDI-enabled app, but then you'd need to find an app that lets you broadcast the device's screen over NDI as opposed to just broadcasting what the phone's camera is seeing (which is more common).

Does Epocam manage to broadcast the homescreen or is it just a "normal" camera app?
-
No EpocCam is a " normal" camera to Syphon, as far as I used it, not a screen copy of your phone...

@tomthebom I have used apple TV for this a lot, it works really well, you need to have a capture device attached to the computer to receive the signal but it is very stable and the wireless transition is very high quality.

Thanks a lot for all the response!

Hi,
I have been using AirServer software for this and it works very well with Syphon Receiver over a shared Wi-Fi. https://www.airserver.com/download. It is not free to buy. But it is hassle free.
Here is a link to an Isadora forum report about AirServer from a few years ago. There are now many different versions cross platforms. You are also able to record the stream which is handy.
Best Wishes

This article of ours that I linked earlier discusses AirServer as well.

If anything I was the one being rude. I should have explained what the link was and told you that the bottom of the article discussed AirServer instead of just lobbing a link at you with no additional information.
Best wishes,
Woland
