TroikaTronix/Isadora and the Coronavirus

Dear Community,
I hope this finds you safe and healthy. That said, given that many of you here are artists or designers, and with shows and performances everywhere cancelled and venues closed, I can only imagine that many of you are facing serious concerns regarding your artsitic and work life. Like all of you, this "disturbance in the force" has me feeling rattled. Yet, if there is one component that unifies all art, I would say it is the fact that it somehow, i always springs from hope. Don't lose that. It is what makes us who we are.
With that expressed, I want to say a few things about the current pandemic and how it will affect TroikaTronix and Isadora.
• First, while we're headquarted in Berlin, half of our team of six already work remotely. The three of us who live and work in Berlin are now set up to work from our homes, with yours truly (Mark Coniglio) situated in Vienna where my partner lives.
As we ramp up to this new way of working, you might experience minor delays to sales and tech support inquiries. But my guess is that it won't be very significant, because we all do a lot of work away from the office. If you do experience a delayed response to a ticket, please know we've seen it and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. If it's really urgent, respond to the email showing your ticket was opened, and let us know.
• One thing that may be difficult for the Berlin team is reproducing issues that are in relation to particular pieces of hardware. I have a few things with me, and @Woland has taken a few critical pieces of equipment from the office. But, we don't have all the equipment we normally do right now. Should you have a hardware related problem we need to investigate, we'll do what we can do understand and address it.
• Because I'm on lockdown here in Austria, and many of you are in a similar situation. I've decided to offer online instruction twice a week for the foreseeable future. You can read about that here.
• Finally, we know that many of you have had to make a sudden jump to remote teaching. See my post today about how we can help.
Currently, all on the team are healthy, and we're observing the social distancing and hygiene procedures we've all learned over the last few days. For myself, I am still programming and working on the new audio features for the next release of Isadora, and plan to use this time to get those features in good shape so that you can all make good use of them soon.
So, that's where things stand at the moment. Of all the things related to Isadora, the incredibly generous community we've brought around the program is perhaps the part of which I'm most proud. I hope that you will all stay safe, and find ways to use this unprecented disruption to be creative and explore new ideas that will see the light of day when things return to something resembling "normal."
