I've been using the OpenNI plugin to use my Kinect2 as a RGB camera, so I turned off Skeleton tracking as have been getting a video feed from it. I've had the Kinect running for 6 or 7 hours each day. sometimes the OpenNI freezes up and only sends a still frame - nothing can be changed or reset within it. The only option is to force quit Isadora and re-open the patch. Then it works fine. If I try to close Isadora, i get the spinning beachball of wait. also, sometimes i get the beachball for 30 or 40 seconds when closing a patch that has the OpenNI running in it. I've seen this behaviour in my MacBookPro and iMac (both running OSX 10.13.6)

        Dear John,

I must admit I didn't do much testing myself on situations where the RGB camera only is running. I'll try to repo your scenario by setting the camera going before I go to sleep.

Isadora must wait for the background thread to finish when closing the window, and I've seen this take 4-5 seconds on a regular basis. But not 30 to 40. Again, I'll see if i can find a repo, but I need to know if this also is RGB only or if it is RGB + Depth????

        Best Wishes,
        Mark

hi Mark - the slow closing of a patch (and sometimes it crashes on close) happens when i'm using OpenNI set to depth only, so its not specifically an RGB issue. i'm using the same patch every day this Autumn, and i estimate there are problems on closing about 50% of the time, but the freezes have only happened when using RGB only. let me know if you would like me to submit a crash log with a new ticket.

          best,

          john

            a new ticket

Yes, a ticket would be great. It'll be easier for use to follow and provide support than in the forum
