ideal hardware for running mics through isadora

OK I'm running a show where the output from isadora will sent out as a live stream on the internet.
So all of my performers will need microphones, what's best practice here?
should I get a usb audio interface with sufficient inputs, or should I mix for the room as I would a normal live show using the theatre's mixing desk and run an output of the mix into the show computer?for context: The show has 2 audiences; a live theatre audience and a live streamed audience. Where the live theatre audience get the see the 'film' that is being broadcast on a projection as well as how it is made.
I'm toying with running 2 computers. 1 running isadora, and another running the live stream using OBS. so there is also the option of running the mixing desk output to OBS without isadora ever needing to deal with the mics.
any advice would be very much appreciated. -

when I've done this, I mixed performers mics with ambient mics on one machine and and ran the mix into OBS on another, monitored on headphones. it feels a bit detached from the show, but necessary to make sure the streaming audience gets a true representation of the show audio. -
usualy there is no need to have the audio being routed through your video chain. It is common practice to have them separated until the point, where they are streamed. This could be OBS on the same machine where Isadora runs (without audio through it), a separated computer or a hardware streamer like a Aja Halo. Only on this final point they get married and streamt right away. You might have to manage some latency issues by delaying audio or video on some point, to have it syncronised. This can be done by OBS or some hardware delay devices.
It is the same for live TV productions or any other, stream or recording.
The only reason to have audio going through izzy, would be effects or generating them from there.
