[SOLVED BY v3.1.1] Izzy 3.1: Problem with Monitor and Stage Preview Controls
-
Great to get to play with Izzy 3.1
I opened my current 3.08f12 patch in 3.1 and found all the Monitor control windows were squashing movie's into just the bottom left quarter, reproduced in simple patch screenshot below
If i mouse-over the video line coming out of a movie actor i get the same
Tried with a range of different movie formats, including hap and mp4, but same view
And Stage Preview control seems to be doing the same, with this controllers "keep aspect" set on or off
Stage preview out and main stage out all seem ok i.e. fills all space not just bottom left quarter
Apologies if i've missed something somewhere in my settings

I want to acknowledge the same issue. It is one that I also posted in the beta testing phase. I have tried resetting preferences but the problem appears to have persisted into the new release. I have submitted a ticket with a link to a screen capture of the Stage SetUp interface being dysfunctional: https://www.dropbox.com/s/n0b1...

I replicated this simple setup on my Intel machine with Mojave (10.14.6) and on an M1 Machine with Big Sur (11.6.1) and it works as expected.
What operating system is this on?
Bonemap, are you running this on macOS 11.5, 10.14, or something else?
Mr J, are you running on macOS 10.12 or 10.15, or something else?

hi @mark this is with OSX 10.15.7 running on a intel MBP (16 inch, 2019)

So, according to your subject line, that means you're on the AMD Radeon GPU, yes?

@ mark and just tried running v3.1 on OSX 10.12.6 on my MBP (early 2013) and the simple setup is working as it should, so something to do with 10.15 Catalina?
-
@mark yes, the MBP (16-inch, 2019) running OSX 10.15.7 is has an AMD Radeon Pro 5600M 8 GB (with Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB)

Yes, it's all the same problem. I have been able to reproduce it on Catalina *only*. On Big Sur and Mojave it works. (@bonemap, FYI, we are no longer actively testing on El Capitan -- I don't even have a copy of that to try; but I reckon if I solve it for Catalina it will solve it for all.)
I am in the code right now working on this. Sorry for our mistake.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for letting me know. My machines are running Big Sur 11.6 and have been exhibiting the problem. The fix is good!
I had a look on an older MacBook Pro running High Sierra and the issue didn't present there. Perhaps the report that it affects retina displays is the case.
best wishes

Hmmmm... I sent it to the email account associated with your account here on the forum. Junk mail maybe? Anyway, I think we've verified that the fix works.
