Enttec with Win 11 and EMU
-
Hello,
I am working on a project where I need to control LEDs on a strip. I have an Enttec MK2 USB. I need help with a couple of things. First I am not sure what I should set as the input device for Enttec's new EMU software. I believe Isadora should be supplying the input? Then after I get Isadora to recognize the Enttec MK2 I believe I can use the DX – DMX UNIVERSE – ENTTEC COMPATIBLE patch. But not too sure how to make individual LEDs change color.

@etootitigbe LEDs on a strip need a controller that supports DMX or ArtNet. How are you connecting to your leds?
We have this tutorial that explains using ArtNet to control an LED strip. It uses a connection to a PixLIte 4 LED controller.
I regularly work with LEDs using the DMXking LeDMX4 PRO.Both of these units assume you are connecting via Artnet, so you do not need to use your Enttec or my User Actor/Patch. You will need the ArtNet compatible hardware to connect your LEDs to, and an ethernet router plus cables

@dusx Thanks so much! But it seems like the LeDMX4 is not shipping right now. I am wondering if something like this can be used along with the Enttec to control LEDS: DMX512 SPI Decoder - Digital RGB Addressable LED Decoder/Controller - 5-24 VDC -

@etootitigbe This is part of what I am trying to do as well. I have the usb pro mk2 and would like to begin adding pixel control using a dmx to spi decoder. Have you had any luck / developement? Also any tips on managing DMX output from Isadora, were you still trying to use EMU as well (I know it has helpful functions like oscilations built in that would have to be made manually in Isadora)
