A small device with accelerometer, gyrometer, voice and gesture command etc
-
Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum and to Isadora. I recently took a workshop with Mark in NYC (that was great) and he mentioned a few times about having and iPad, iPhone, wii remote or something like that attached to the performer's body as an option to interactivity. But yes, those devices are big and except for the wii not really resistant. So yesterday I came across this device on indie gogo. It's a kind of smart watch with a accelerometer, a gyrometer, voice and gesture control and some other interesting features. When I saw that I heard Mark's voice in my head talking about attaching a phone to the body. I know very little about the device but I think it's something many of you might be interested in. I also found out this is not the only device that does all this. Have any of you used something like that with Isadora? Here is the link: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/435159/emal/93264

Interesting, thanks for sharing. Will check it out now.

The issue with that device and every other smart watch type device I've seen is that they use Bluetooth not WiFi as their communication medium which generally doesn't have the range or reliability we look for in live performance.
