Does anyone know what the current recommended camera devices are for Isadora? I'm after a versatile camera with zoom lens. Annoyingly the Elgato HD capture card is no longer available (for 1080 50p HD).

      thanks all,

      Nic

@nic The blackmagic capture cards are great, and work well in my experience with Isadora, they come in a variety of capabilities and prices. The basci thunderbolt 3 3g capture UltraStudio Recorder 3G is $125. There are a bunch of PCIe solutions too. If you need USB 3.0 go for a magewel device, there is more overhead as USB 3 is not enough to actualy carry all that bandwidth but they are still great.

+1 for Blackmagic devices, we have native support for BlackMagic devices since we use their SDK in Isadora. Did a few shows with their products with 9 HD outputs and that worked great!

Magewell also works great, please be aware that the bandwidth between USB lanes is mostly shared. So don't try to connect multiple of these to the same machine if you need multiple inputs. If that is the case please look into a PCI product from BlackMagic.

I've been using the Blackmagic Deck Link Quad 2 and I love it!
