      From Mark Coniglio

After more than 25 years of creating and developing Isadora, I am very happy to announce that TroikaTronix and the entire Isadora project have been transferred to the newly formed TroikaTronix GmbH.

The company is now owned by the existing three-member TroikaTronix team together with a long-time Isadora user. These are people who know Isadora deeply, understand the community around it, and care strongly about its future.

TroikaTronix GmbH may be new, but the way the company will operate is not. For the last couple of years, this team has steadily taken on the responsibilities of running TroikaTronix, giving me more time to focus on programming. The new company structure is the natural next step in a transition that has been underway for some time.

Their many years of combined experience, along with the talented new programmer they have brought on board, mean that this team has everything it needs to create a bright future for the software so many of you have come to love.

      From the TroikaTronix Team

The new TroikaTronix GmbH* brings together Xenia Leydel, TroikaTronix's company manager of many years; our tech team, L Wilson-Spiro and Ryan Webber; and Michel Weber, designer and former longtime Isadora Forum moderator. Mark Coniglio, Isadora’s original creator, will remain as an advisor to the company, allowing us to benefit from his knowledge and experience. We are deeply grateful to Mark for creating Isadora and guiding its development for more than 25 years.

We are proud to continue development of Isadora with the addition of a skilled, new programmer, and to support the extraordinary creativity of the Isadora community. We are excited about what lies ahead and are committed to building on what has made Isadora such a valuable creative tool by continuing to develop the software for the artists, educators, designers, and technologists who rely on it.

For the Isadora community, sales, support, and development will continue without interruption as we roll out new creative possibilities and demonstrate our ongoing commitment to the evolution of the program. The recent release of Isadora 4.5, with its expanded music and audio capabilities, is an important part of that momentum.

We can’t wait to see what you make next with Isadora.

*A GmbH is a type of German company that’s similar to an LLC in the US.

Firstly, thank you! Thank you for enabling all of these artists to create such amazing work through Isadora, and thank you for being such a caring and responsive software dad: not only providing the tools, but helping us make the most of them.

What you're saying really resonates. I am a year older than you, and also wrapping stuff up to move on to the next phase. Like you say, recognising that there's not so much time left... like you, looking forward to a creative, fulfilling, 'retirement'

              Mark (not you, obviously)
