I don't own a Mac but I also have this (or a similar) bug in Windows (XP, didn't try on 7), and yes, it could be a scaling problem, as I couldn't reproduce it with only one image, only with 2 of them with different sizes. Unfortunately, changing "When combining video" in the Video Tab doesn't seem to solve anything concerning this bug on my computer.

Here is what I noticed: when clicking on the slider to select another image in the picture player actor, the stage shows these strange black shapes, then the stage refreshes properly (the picture looks normal), displaying the new image. But when clicking outside the slider makes them appear again. I also noticed that it's not always black rectangles, but sometimes one part of the preference window. It seems to happen when the preference window opens on top of the stage. Bypassing the picture player and activating it again displays the same exact artifacts again, so there might be a refresh problem (too?). Hope this helps.

It was one old video loop sample that I had laying around from before using Izzy, now I try to re-enconde all the media files to MOV and the specifics of each project… including resolution, fps and codec. But when I tried to play these files and all hell broke lose, I got curios because it used to work before… probably because of Perian. I used to have Perian, but when upgraded to Mavericks I made a clean install, so no Perian. Do you want the AVI files that does play in QT or the ones that doesn't play in QT but play in Izzy? Again, thanks for all the attention

I just tried this out with a korg nanokontrol and I was able to do it in Ableton but not using the Midi player. I would love to know why it doesn't work and things I could try to make it work as it is always good to use just 1 program if I can instead of 2. Any help is appreciated;-) ffc6b9-test-4.mid.zip

Jiggling the cable might have been a coincidence, with the real issue more likely to be that your video cable crossed a power line. If your cable has to coross a power line try to force it to cross at 90 degrees across it, rather than alongside it. This can help.

I'd be happy to troubleshoot the set up further with you. I'll start a support ticket and email you that way.

It was hanging immediately after startup, and after a few restarts it seems to have stopped doing that, so I assumed it was me, not Isadora.

In the meantime, I seem to have found a way to combine Resolume and vvvv viaSprout,
so I will try that, in order to keep my existing patches.
Anyway,
even if  that doesn't fail,
I'll be back here soon,
as we do develop media spaces for theatre,
and isadora really looks promising.

If you are a USB license holder and have experienced an issue with Isadora reverting to demo mode due to a computer sleep, or similar behaviour, please file a bug report as soon as possible. This is caused by a problem with the firmware of the USB dongle, and we are in dialogue with the manufacturer currently to resolve this.

If you are having a problem with this issue, please update to this newer driver version, and let us know if that solves the problem. The HASP company has acknowledged some sleep issues with their older drivers. However if you are on Mac 10.5 or earlier, do not update the driver. This new driver is for 10.6+ only.

Just have to say, awesome control software. Got my first chance to work with it yesterday. I'm planning to buy a couple seats, and have a some questions -

Should I buy release1.31fo6 and upgrade to 2.0, or wait until 2.0 is released?

Is the dongle available for 2.0?

It appears that Adobes CC 2014 Media Encoder render app is  favoring H264 mp4 renders over Quicktime (as a PC user, 'Bout time!). I notice that you all seem to be facilitating H264 integration for Macs, will 2.0 handle H264 renders well for PC?

I got things to work right by check 'Play Windows Movie Format Natively' in preferences, will 2.0 have a similar set of preference selections?

Once again, very cool software. I look forward to becoming a user

Probably it is a QuickTime reference movie, or a movie that is referencing a real-time (RTSP) stream. Best Wishes, Mark

P.S. @DusX -- Make sure to check what language is native on his system in case it's Russian, Japanese, or some other non-European character based system. This might have something to do with it.
