If you're on a PC, yes, AVI or WMV is your best choice. But it is very important that you go to the General tab of the Isadora Preferences and enable "Play Windows Movie Formats Natively" checkbox before you import the movies.

The onboard graphic card is fine.

To install, just copy the .dll file into ‘IsadoraInstallationFolder\Isadora Plugins’, e.g. C:\Program Files\Isadora\Isadora Plugins. Don’t forget to restart Isadora. I added the source code in case somebody wants to have a look at it. Feel free to ask if something is unclear, or if you encounter a bug while using the plugin. Here is my new plugin (Windows only): GetBinNumberByName. I made it in the same spirit than the other XXXByName plugins: JumpByname ([mac & original idea](http://troikatronix.com/troikatronixforum/discussion/comment/7164) / [windows](http://troikatronix.com/troikatronixforum/discussion/1159/jumpbyname-plugin-for-windows-source-code)) and GetSceneNumberByName ([windows](http://troikatronix.com/troikatronixforum/discussion/1181/new-plugin-getscenenumberbyname)). Its purpose is to use cues in bin names: I use it with the Get Media Index actor in order to associate scenes with media bins. (quickly) tested and confirmed working on Isadora 1.3.1f06 bin names must not be larger than 1000 characters As always, just copy the .dll file into ‘IsadoraInstallationFolder\Isadora Plugins’, e.g. C:\Program Files\Isadora\Isadora Plugins. I can verify that Bidlule FX works in 1.3.0f24 on my machine running 10.6.8\. But cannot check at the moment on Mavericks. It is crashing when you attempt to open the user interface window. I will have to try in 10.9 later. Best Wishes, Mark

Scaling via the Projector should offset this processing to the GPU rather than CPU.
Likewise any stage settings that scale should be handled by the GPU.
Its always finding the right balance for a specific machine. If you have a strong GPU its good to try to move a lot of the work over to it.

Try disconnecting everything and then force your stage preview. You should end up with all your stages on your main display. Worst case, memorize your isadora pref settings and move the preference file out of the preferences folder, that should get you back to defaults I think.

3D quad has an option to draw an image only if it has input. switch the draw mode to "video in" and you may get rid of the white. I could not duplicate the problem in windows but I remember dealing with a invert actor bug at some point so it may depend on the version. latest is 1.3.1fo6

One thing to add: the Sound Player actor loads the sounds into RAM, thus it is designed to be used more like a sampler -- short-ish sounds that need to be triggered instantaneously. If you have really long files, and you're not triggering them with an interactive controller, @Skulpture's suggestion is the way to go. One time saving tip: on Mac OS (only) you can simply change the extension of the .aiff file to .mov and import it. No conversion necessary. Isadora will treat it as a movie file. Best Wishes, Mark
