Isadora 3 Has BLIND MODE!
-
Since I'm working on the release notes still, it dawned on me that this might not be common knowledge:
Isadora 3 implements a long-requested feature: Blind Mode!
It's at the top of the Scenes menu (which also displays the keyboard shortcut ) and functions like blind mode on a lighting console, allowing you to keep running cues in one Scene while editing a different, inactive Scene without having the Scene you're editing show up in the output. You can even use Go Triggers and/or Keyboard Watchers+Jump actors to keep activating other Scenes while you’re editing an inactive Scene in Blind Mode!
Please note that in 3.0.1 you can only edit inactive Scenes using Blind Mode; if you have Blind Mode targeting your currently active Scene, any changes you make are live.
Best wishes,
Woland
(P.S. Release Notes coming very, very soon. Mark did a lot of fantastic work on the program in terms of additions and changes so there's a lot to cover :D)

@woland Amazing News!
I had missed that so thanks for pointing it out. It sounds like such a small thing but I know already this is going to make a huge difference to my workflow and the functionality of the software.
Jumping between live and blind on an LX desk is such a key feature, prempting a change you need to make in the next scene, or going back to correct something without everyone having to wait for you while leaving the current scene playing.
Last week was like waiting for Christmas, this week has actually been like opening a new present and finding something new in it.Â

I meant to say opening a new present every day

@kathmandale, yeah this is HUGE! I'm in the midst of running the Cincinnati Fringe Festival, so I haven't gotten to open the Isadora present yet. Still waiting on my Christmas, but reading everyone's posts is making me even more excited to play!
