the reason for all this is, that onyx is not able to get direct order to jump to a  specific cue via midi or osc. it is simply not possible. but with telnet it is. it does not depend on pc or console, so we will test your script and ask for more support. maybe you can test it for us. because we are verÿ bad in coding.

it would be ok for us to use only one client connection to onyx, because isadora is our main control hub. thx.

I think I just messed up the whole path/to/file things- definitely helps with saving the file in the same directory as the izzy file.

Both work well for me. And often it is easier to make .mov files. (if you are using ffmpeg or shutterencoder to transcode to .avi watch that your framerate remains consistent.. there is/was a known bug).
One up side of AVI on windows is that you can have thumbnails in explorer (easily) it seems like a little thing, but really is helpful. 
I use ShutterEncoder to transcode my archive footage to HAP, for me this has worked well.

@gaspar Have you tried with the usb insta 360 cable ? If it is a cable length problem, as you say it might be, your camera should work. I somehow doubt it but troubleshooting is not about faith, it is abut testing every step.

I did a little research and it appears to be possible to develop using the Python bindings provided for the Orbbec SDK, which support connecting to the device over Ethernet, although it would likely be easier to first do some test dev with it connected via USB.

I don't have this device otherwise I might look into making an example. I do hope to do a generic Orbbec over USB example soon though.

@woland Well for example changing the shape of the fade, why would anyone ever want a value other than 1?  That sort of thing, a better explanation of the settings would be helpful.  And also it would be great to link the left and right settings together because almost all of the time I'm using the same values for right and left fades....

The riddle is solved!

Thanks to the incredibly cooperative Tangent Support, who even installed Isadora Demo to understand the case!

It was simply due to the fact that the OSC naming convention must be followed when assigning the OSC address in the Tangent Mapper.
In contrast to TouchOSC, which already “prepares” the address, the Tangent Mapper requires a “ / ” followed by the address/address variable.
Otherwise Isadora will clearly not recognize the address as such. Hexler protocol does this because it simply auto-completes the address with the missing “ / ”.
It's actually quite simple, you just have to figure it out first 😄
Now i can go straight forward by controlling  PTZ cams with a colorgrading panel...

Yes, you are missing one step. You need to right-click your Movie Player actor and select 'Use Timecode'

edit: I think you may also need to move your SRT file to the same folder as your Mov file (your SRT Player is currently showing an error: file not found), and, of course, send your subtitles to a Text Draw actor to render them to your Projector
