Yes, what you’re asking for is definitely possible in Isadora. Generally I'd do it by using the Text Formatter to give specific name formats to question and answer videos so they can be told apart. Another approach is to write the list of media numbers for user-made question videos and user-made answer videos (as they are created) to two different text files using Data Array actors and then using Shuffle actors to handle randomization. The ideas that @dbini shared are great too, and a form of the timeout feature he mentioned is actually already included in the version of the patch I posted earlier this year.If you’d like me to continue developing this for you, I’m happy to, though I’d need to do that as freelance work outside of my regular TroikaTronix hours since my TroikaTronix work hours are quite busy with other tasks at the moment. If you'd like to go that direction, feel free to send me a message via forum DM.We’re planning to roll out a more formal professional services system next year, which will allow people to hire Ryan or me through the company as expert consultants or to commission us for complex Isadora builds.Best wishes,Woland

Thanks so much for the detailed explanation — really helpful! I love the idea of using the Text Formatter and the text-file approach to keep things organized, and it's great to know this kind of setup is totally doable in Isadora. I’ll dig into those methods and see how far I get.

And thanks as well for the offer to develop it further. I might take you up on that once I get a bit deeper into the build — really appreciate you being open to it, especially with your schedule being packed.

Best wishes, and thanks again for all the guidance!

Ive been using an M2 Mac Studio. The one I have supports 5 displays. 1 for my monitor and 4 outputs to. projectors. The higher spec'd one can run 8 displays. But that was way over my budget. Its been great. Ive been running around 30 x 1080p movie files simultaneously, (albeit with large areas of alpha) and it hasn't missed a beat. It also seems a lot less vulnerable than a laptop, especially out doors or at messy gigs.

Since I've had other issues with my focusrite (sudden crackling after some random time... this was on Ableton, not Isadora) and @Fred stated more or less that "the only really trustable interfaces were those from RME", after watching and reading lots of reviews I finally went for RME. They seem to be very praised for audio quality and driver stability. I don't really like the lack of direct buttons or sliders on the unit, but the rest looks really good. I'll be using it with an external MIDI controller such as my NanoKontrol2, mainly because I want to be able to adjust gains "on the run" and want to do this with a physical interface.
I should get it in the next days and will report back.

Yes, Ryan is our Windows specialist. As he said, the solution thus far for people has been to install older AMD drivers. The reason we can't tell you exactly which ones to use is because whenever people have had this issue they find the correct driver and then go back to working on their projects. (Meaning they don't tell us what drivers don't work and therefore we unfortunately don't have that information to provide to other users experiencing the same issue.)

If you'd work with Ryan in the ticket to figure out what drivers solve the problem for you, that would be very much appreciated.

You can talk to him about what version of the Adrenaline driver you're already using and what other versions are possible to try.

What’s the latest iOS I can use for this software ?

The newest version of macOS that is officially supported for use with Isadora 4 is Sequoia. Tahoe may be fine, as we have not gotten reports of Isadora 4 not working on Tahoe, but officially it's not a supported OS for running Isadora 4 until we do further internal testing.

Yes, I want to experiment with background removal. Between my first post and now, I understood how to make both work, I simply had to user the Video mode instead of the LiveFeed. Now time to play with this mask and also curious what I can do with the facemesh!

Regarding the pose detection, I've been using it for 10 days and it's been really fun and productive. Thanks again for the material you provided!

      Hi all -

In the end, the issue was actually that in the projector's internal settings, the projector aspect was set to NATIVE, and when I changed it to FULL it spanned the entire area.

I think this has to do with the projector's ability to resize SDI (16:9) back to 16:10.

Hope this helps someone else in the future!

Opener & Closer - Powerful tools for working with Sidecar applications.

I just published a new Isadora example file with two new Pythoner powered user actors.
      Get it: https://troikatronix.com/add-o...

The tools require a small module be installed, but the project also includes the latest version of my Easy Python Setup Tool, which will build the require virtual environment for you in a minute.

These tools let you open applications 'hidden' so that the UI/Stage Outputs are not blocked, allowing you to work send/receive Spout/Syphon and/or OSC if the apps offer such things.

A use case I personally have used this approach for is launching my Kinect2Share application allowing my full native access to my Microsoft Kinect on windows.

FEEDBACK on the tools and the Setup process are greatly appreciated.

I stopped using Isadora partly because of this unavailable option that I use in every project. I regularly check to see if the blur handling in mapping has been improved. And the years go by, and I'm surprised every time that it hasn't been implemented. It's sad; I love this software.

We brought this up at last week’s Thursday tech meeting and as of last Friday we have a beta build that contains a fix for it, so it’ll definitely be fixed for the next public release.
