@fred Sure, for the encoders, but not for the faders. Motors compensate what you describe for infinite rotary faders I love that. The only problem with the Xtouch is that you have to reconfigure it completely before using it with Isadora. Faders spit out data on 2 different controller numbers as they are both on/off buttons on one channel and sliders on another channel. And this confuses the control watcher and even the different MIDI LEARN that exist out there as Isadora user actors. And there is more : the software that Behringer created to reconfigure all the controllers buttons faders and encoders on the Xtouch is pc only. I had to buy Parallel desktop too. The good news is that the Berringer software works well even if you don't buy windows inside Parallel Desktop. Anyone can use it with the non-customizable windows version that comes with Parallel.

@wolandJust did , We will see if this helps, My main issue is the light board firing cues faster than Isadora fade times and Isadora getting tied up with midi and soft/hard crashing

scale min to 0 and scale max to 1

Here you are telling this side of the system to expect values from 0 thru 1.0, it can't scale anything because it has no reference point.

These min and max settings require that they exist on both sides of a link between actors. If on the first side you set min= 0 and max = 1, Isadora will expect values between 0and1 to be output, then on the other end of the link if min is set to = 10 and max = 30, the values from 0 to 1 will be scaled to 10-30.

This works in the same way as the Limit Value Scale actor.

I don't know what you full range of incoming values are, but if you use a Limit Value Scale actor, you should be able to scale to 0-1 or 0-127 depending on where you want to send that data.

It looks like you have all the smoothers set to smoothing = 0.2
That is rather low.  You might want to try 0.95 (this is a rather extreme smoothing) to see how that's, and then bring it down from there.

You can also use the OSC Transmit/Receive and OSC Multi Transmit/Receive actors to send data between computers on the same network (so long as you know the right IP address for each computer)

      TouchOCS Bridge

From what I understand of TouchOSC Bridge, TouchOSC sends MIDI over the network (maybe using OSC or UDP) to the computer running TouchOSC Bridge, and Bridge forwards these Midi messages via virtual Midi ports it installs. So the whole process is done without OSC, it is a wireless MIDI setup, receiving MIDI means you have it working.

I will feel more relax with the datas of the show stored in a text document,
if I need to change the patch after the scene progression has been recorded, it won't be a big deal to modify the architecture..

Well I think you are rigtht! The best solution will probably be to build one and learn on the way how all this works... I think I had a small hope that this time would be a plug and play experience, but it is not really :D So I will try and look into what I need and where to get it... Also, I saw that this is not the only device like that, but they are fairly expensive all of them...

Thanks though for the advice - I will see where to find things and probably get back...

      All the best

I am glad it's working for you. The modification isn't something I am going to release as an update, since it breaks the resetting of the 'S'M'R' button lights.
I will post it here for others though in case its useful to anyone else.

      Hi there @tomthebom

In essense you can force the Push2 inside User Mode that allows you to map it as any normal 'midi' controller. You will lose the LCD options, but all other options should work fine, also see this article on their website

      https://help.ableton.com/hc/en...

If you then connect it to Isadora you should be able to see the Incoming Midi Messages inside the Status and Monitor windows. If you know that you will be able to make some nice User actors / Macro's for it

@mark great session, although using MIDI in Isadora for quite a while, you can always learn. Was working last year on a project with a brainsensor connected to piano and drone synthesizers in Reason. Although a EEG brainsensor as such is a simple controller, it needs a lot of handling which is controlled in Isadora. Also the sound triggering and musical evolution, related to brainwave intensity and brain state are managed by Isadora. The baseline is that no other physical intervention is taking place and that the resulting sound is unique for its moment in time. Fun :-)
