Re: [Capturing PAL camera signal issue & wireless camera question](/topic/922/capturing-pal-camera-signal-issue-wireless-camera-question)

      Hello everybody,

I am looking for a small wireless camera I could fix on a robot (non antropomorphic) in order to have a live feed, into Isadora 3, from what it sees when dancers are close to it.

Does any one have any precise idea about a good and small camera, the proper transmitter and the best wifi router to use in mediam sized theatrical configuration?

      Many thanks in advance.

      Vey best regards,

      Jean-Marc Matos

Well, I am not sure it is the best way and it suits to the kind of image you want ( angle, zoom, control on focus...) , but an Iphone with NDI app and a "standard" router  ( I am happilly using a 1350 Mbps link ) could a be a cheap and reliable way, with a reasonable latency of a few frames. Or more expensive solution could be a camera of your choice with a Wifi hdmi/NDI converter...

But if someone know a good small wifi camera with low latency, good battery autonomy and easy way to get in Isadora, I am interested to know too ;-)

I'd also recommend going the smartphone route. In my opinion, it's much simpler than any other option.

i bought a tiny chinese IP 'spy camera' but it is shit. don't be tempted. i got it to work one time (attached to a robot, as it happens) but never again.

a camera I have wanted to try that might suite is the mevo. It supports NDI which is ideal.
