Isadora's creator, Mark Coniglio, along with his long time collaborator, choreographer Dawn Stoppiello, will host a week-long Live-Interactive (Live-I) Workshop in Portland, Oregon, USA from June 30th to July 4th.

This session is an intensive laboratory for multidisciplinary artists who wish to explore the creation of media intensive performances and installations. Participants are guided to address a series of compositional questions focused on successfully bringing performers, audience and visual and sonic media together to create compelling and truly unified works.

Isadora will serve as the core technology used to facillitate their artistic ideas.

The workshop fee includes a free six-month license for those who do not already have an Isadora license.

Dear Shannon,

I assume you are running IsadoraCore (not just plain Isadora) and that you have purchased the Core Video upgrade. Were you previously using Isadora in demo mode? If so, the QC patches would have been visible as actors even though you had not purchased the Core Video upgrade.

The ascii characters are chosen based on their width and size to represent pixel brightness. I just made a quick test and wrote some software to use only 0 and 1. It will work but you need a very high contrast image with low features. Adding some punctuation (.,-+=) makes it work a lot better. PM me if you dont find another solution.

this sounds like a projector signal alignment issue, with vga connections devices usually rescan the signal and shift them that the signal matches there output

try to build a calibration setup  i suspect that you are working with xga - so it would be a 3072 x 768 px white picture filling the triple head output the white gives the device the information that the signal is filling the whole bandwidth  try to unplug your signal cables to double check if a shifting appears again whiteout the calibration picture i would describe it as an automatic "overscan" calibration, which is not true but perhaps the idea behind

Glad uploading works again. I have the problem with the confirmation popup since the beginning, I never fixed that, but it seems that the browsers handle it different. I will look into that as soon as possible.

Ok, I looked into it and it seems that only admins can do that. Just to prevent someone registering with a valid email and then changing to an invalid one after registration.

Hi everyone.  It's been a while since I followed up on this tread...time flies when you are busy.  Here is an update on where this problem lead us.

The show is now closed and we came up with a couple technices to allow us to get video signal thru the mini recorder with little to no problems.  After speaking with a guru friend of mine he suggested that because we were not using the mini recorder in act 1 it likely had gone into a hibernation mode and needed to be woken up.  Again, because of the back stage circumstances we test the video at preshow and then the camera is disconnected not used until act 2\.  My friend suggested putting an 'input control' actor in the a scene before we needed the live feed.  We also did a second video check at intermission.  Together it seemed to help keep the video input online until we needed to use it.  There were only 2 or 3 instances during our 60 show run when the feed did not come in.  At this point our video op simply toggled the 'start live capture' once or twice and live video began to flow. Thanks for the information about Black Syphon.  We will be using live video again this fall so I will be experimenting more with it.  My overall experience with the BM mini recorder was great when said and done.  Affordable and great quality with minimal delay (about 150ms) from input to projector output.
