Regarding the first point, I think this is incorrect. To be able to run Isadora on any laptop one, one only need to download the KeyAccess software shown at this link http://www.sassafras.com/support/ As you can see, there is no cost for this. Anyone can download it and use it for free. Regarding point #2, I guess I can see the problem is the definition of a "school asset." I would argue that, without the central server maintained on campus, the Sassafras version of Isadora I have provided to you is not any kind of 'asset" because the program will only run in demo mode if it cannot reach **_your_** Sassafras Keyserver. The program has no value by itself (i.e., without connecting to the key server) and, as such, cannot be considered an asset. As the owner of this license, you have the right to distribute your specially encoded Sassafras key server version to anyone on campus. This is how it is handled by at least two dozen other institutions across the globe. They just upload the software installer where students and staff can download it. Others could download it also, but it wouldn't work for them as it is tied to your unique Sassafras key. I don't know if any of these arguments can be used to persuade your IT department, but if a phone call to someone there would help, I'd be very happy to make it. I've found it ......just download and install Resolum , and copy and paste all the plugins in the free frame folder...hihihi...and don't use resolum but ISADORA of course. Best

I will use another (more economical…) solution. Staying in GPU, use any picture player you need with intensity to fade between, zoom and position to frame. Use preloading to have it in RAM Don't use crop, it's really processor intensive (CPU based), instead, use the new background color (GPU based) and projectors to crop the image. I tried with 5 big images, it works. Patch included. Hope that helps, Jacques

In my proper experience, it' very hard to "fly" properly inside a 3D universe in Isadora, because nothing it's really clear about unit, coordinate (global or local) and many other problems linked to 3D. I explored some other ways – Processing via syphon, if you have a more "procedural" 3D universe, it works. Quite tricky to program but solid – WMW have a very powerful 3D mapper, you can import a 3D scene, play it with midi values ended by Isadora and even send video via syphon for texture. Not very stable and no fresh development. – Unity (the paying version) can open a 3D scene, play it with midi value with great quality and even send it via syphon, stable but pricey. – I explore at the moment the blender game engine, very powerful, you can send midi to it but OSC is little bit tricky (via python) and no syphon at all. That's my point of view now, I am also very interested for somebody's research. Jacques

This should not happen, so we will investigate this further. Please let us know the resolution of the video you are attempting to play. As suggested above, please try using the "Preload Scene" actor at least 1 second before the jump. See if that allows you to alleviate the problem for the time being. Best Wishes, Mark

Some things I can trawl/call for advice through the forum but might be good to have a single person consult through the process.

I've a project coming up in June July and need some bits of expert advice in the lead up and probably during.
I'll be using live camera feed, video capture to disk, mixing pre-recorded video with a few izzy actors, envelope generators. Sounds simple and it is generally speaking. It's for a one-to-one experience that uses visual-tactile feedback, scent, sound.
I operate and perform the install myself. Need advice for problem solving - I've done proof of concept live tests but my quick and dirty pilot and patching needs finessing for aesthetics and processing power.

Need advice on fixing webcam to static focus, body image distortion from fisheye and camera placement (perspective doesn't seem to cut it), body match blending so faces line up (not even sure if this is possible from izzy), triggering possibilities so I don't have to leave my participant (eg blob decoder for a gesture placement or a portable device), file management for captured video, memory and processor load management.

I'm on mac book pro processor 2.3 ghz intel core i7; memory 8 gb 1333 mhzddr3; osx 10.6.8.

I recently worked on a project where we used Javascript to search through the media in Isadora and find files with certain names and words in them.  I was impressed with the functionality Javascript can provide for processing/ number crunching.  Very, very useful add.

Okay so a friend of mine sent me some plugins to use and they all worked great, (very easy to install the program is so compatible!) However there were a few that wouldn't work, I would get a similar error as vjw i.e. "'IscFlowPaint2c' could not be loaded because the unique ID 'ix4g' is already in use by the plugin 'IscFlowPaint1BW'". Is there any easy way or any way at all to change the unique ID number so they do not conflict? I tried using a Hex editor called XVI32 to open and edit the .dll but when I would search for the ID "ix4g' it would say "string not found". I have hit a block. Any sugjestions would be wonderful!

J'ai utilisé les Actors de Fifou car prêt à l'emploi. C'est un très grand merci à tout les deux vraiment.  Je galère pas mal avec la notion de temps.J'ai pas encore réussit à bien Gérer pour avoir une vrai Timeline mais la déjà en aillant te temps je vais revoir ma copie. Existe base de données d'Acteur quelque part sur le Forum pour déposer quand tu fait des choses qui te paraisse utile au Autre? j'espère pourvoir renvoyer l'ascenseur un de ces jours  Dans l'attente De vous lires  Laurent 

The native resolution problem is solved in the next release. We are testing it and will try to make it available as soon as humanly possible. In the meantime, do as @ioio said and it should work.

Are you changing the picture input via MIDI? It would be helpful if you could post your patch or an example so we can examine it. Or file a bug report and send your patch to us privately.
