A 3d model file of a Brain neuron, decimated for use in Isadora with rights approval from https://eyewire.org - Not a waveform but a great asset associated with brain anatomy. Let me know if you are interested.
its probably better to use different Movie Players in the same scene and trigger them according to when you need each movie to play. You can add Video Mixers or Selectors between Movie Players and your Projector(s) and trigger values to these using various methods, such as Envelope Generator, Trigger Delay or Comparator. If you initialise the speed of each Movie Player to zero, it will not play until you trigger a value of 1 to it.
thanks @jfg@bonemap . Reassured to find it's not just me, though disappointed there's no apparent solution at the moment. Let's hope for some expansion in this area in future updates...
thanks a lot for your very useful supplement. Since I have always used the Actor OSC Multi Listener, I had not paid any attention to the fact that when renumbering the ports, Isadora jumped for e.g. from 4 to 6 when there were two values at 4.
<p>Thank you @jfg, didn't know about this one.<br /></p><p>@mark_m, I was looking for something, which is doing the same like the ctrl + e shortcut (Input menu -> 'Start live capture'</p>
Yes, @jfg has given you your answer: it's the Capture Control actor that you want!
I thought the cost of the USB key would dictate a higher price point
@DusX , bonemap is actually correct about this. An Isadora 3 USB Key License does cost more than an Isadora 3 Perpetual License. If I recall correctly, it's set up this way (with the USB Key added as part of the shipping cost) so that we can apply an academic discount to the base cost of the license without the discount applying to the cost TroikaTronix pays for the shipping and the USB Key (which we sell for essentially the same price we buy them for).
@dg22 Hi, if I understand you correctly all you need to do is click on the zoom parameter (not the value) of the Projector actor and tick initialize, then set the value to whatever you wish. When you enter the scene that will be the parameter default value. Please see attached image.
I have Isadora installed on two computers; an iMac and MacBook Pro. I want to create a show on the iMac and then run it from the laptop but when I load the show on the laptop Isadora can't find the media. I load the media from the iCloud so I don't understand why it can't be found. Thanks, Barry
If you're comfortable sharing the basic version of this cool clock patch, you're welcome to post it on the TroikaTronix Add-Ons Page so other community members can use it as a starting point for clock-work in the future.
No pressure though, you're entirely welcome to not post it.
