Yes it seems contradictory, but as you can see in the Lumix GH4, you can choose a i-frame h264 codec to have a more fluid editing. At the moment it's my favorite codec, I use ProRes only for exchange between apps. Jacques

Just been having problems with an old version of Videoglide crashing izzy 2.2 and not being recognised on video. However, a quick update to Videoglide 1.6 has resolved the video at least,

@ibmcclain please DM your Apple email ID, and I'll put you on the beta-testers list, when the app is in Itunes (in a week or so -- it will only allow displaying text pushed from Isadora). Web interface may have its merits, especially if the amount of data is light. If you start pushing videos, sounds, want to use cameras, phone's speaker, gyroscope etc, native app becomes a more viable option, since it allows preloading all content before the show. Also, think about augmented reality –– I think in this case native app becomes the only option at this point in time.

Thanks Marci and all of you who took time to help me.  I discovered that for whatever reason, if my aggregate device uses the 1&2 inputs on the MOTU (in this unit an UltraLiteMk3, Mic 1 and Mic 2) then I can get my synth into sound level watcher. I was hoping to use the MOTU as a mini-mixer and have several inputs active. Not saying it can't be accomplished, just that I haven't had the time to get beyond my immediate needs.

I've done this for a show : Main show running with QLab (playing movies on different surfaces, sending titles... and sometimes a live camera)

Isadora was : aquiring the live camera, cropping video feed, brightness/contrast/saturation corrections, freezing/unfreezing video feed (triggered via midi from QLab), and finally sending it to QLab via syphon.

See my attached patch.
Launch first the patch with Isadora, select your live source from the Live Camera settings, activate. You should then see your image in the preview window. Then "force stage preview" from the output menu to activate the syphon output.
After that launch QLab, in the settings under Camera patch, you should find "IsadoraCore - Stage 1". That's all !

Maybe you can dim them if you hang an inducting load along with it. The classic method is to put a lightbulb in a black lightproof box and connect it in parallel (a "ghost load") this is how its done with discoball motors. Could work for fans too.

Hey all, I've been following this thread very closely and thanks to the work you've done as well as the good people at Christie I've managed to build an actor that sucessfully shutters Christie Projector.

The big X factor was actually sending the TCP command to Port 23 instead of the PJLink port. The command is:

BE EF 03 06 00 F3 93 01 00 05 24 00 00              to Open

BE EF 03 06 00 63 92 01 00 05 24 01 00              to Close

I also have my command for controlling the Projector Midi Remote which will continue to be my preffered method when dealing with non-Christies.

I have the Chrisite password turned off and so far this have been very sucessful. Enjoy!

I generally try to create small, flexible set ups, so I try to avoid buying too much stuff.

I mean from 3,5  all the way to 12 mm. I need to be very wide I guess, but in theatre it can change.
I suspect, that with the consideation sensor size it will be at least 10,5 - 36mm and less I need to go wider, which I am not sure is possible, that should suffice once for all.

If I got right, IR coating enhances IR light in terms of visibility and contrast, so that would be nice benefit.

I am not sure how I can use back focus effectively for tracking.  Having focused everything on furthest place and use the fact that lens is so wide that everything is somehow in focus?

Not sure, but it is not finding the kinect, hardware I guess. Maybe you can find some other software to test

I'm trying to get Izzy to work with MTC. I've tried two different MTC sources and it seems like Izzy sees the output the same, illustrated in the attached photo. Both in Status and Monitor I see a constant stream when I'm sending MTC but MTC Reader only responds when I hit stop on the sending device, it does not see it in real time. I'm wondering if what I'm seeing in Monitor looks like correct MTC and, if so, how I can make MTC Reader see it in real time. I should also note that I can't get other Actors like MTC Compare to work either. Thanks!
