A long time ago I used an ipad 2 for this, It was mirrored through the 30 pin but its output was only 720p- the video looked fine and was smooth.

I think the airplay mirror seems the best way to go and a better network may give you a better signal.  There is a difference in latency when capturing with the blackmagic SDK vs quicktime, it is a little bit faster, but depending on your machine 720p should not be a problem.  I would try isolate the issue, use another source for your capturing (not the ipad via airplay) and test the quality and latency. If this is good you know your capture is good and it is the source. Next try different network configurations- do you have access to a wireless AC router, this is very fast and high bandwidth. Last, the apple TV is a cool little device, but just to check, try do the airplay mirror with a laptop with a good GFX card, maybe the GFX processing on the apple tv needed to get the compressed signal from wifi, decompress it and display it is too much work.  Fred

I played with ASUS Xtion a while back. I used the same software one would use for kinect one (openni, freenect). Hardware wise Xtion advantage is not using a separate power supply and a smaller physical size.

5m is pretty good going for bluetooth.

Baring in mind it's quite old tech, low powered and arguably only used inclose proximity; sharing pics/sounds between phones, bluetooth mice and keyboards, etc. ( _Just sayin'_ )

I have just used one of the old wireless routers which were lying around (or you can buy one really cheap on ebay nowadays). Just create a dedicated wifi network, and you can fix the IP address for your PC by fiddling with wifi ipv4 protocol so you don't have to fiddle with TouchOSC everytime. Just give me a shout if you decide to go this way and need help. T.

There was a bug in Isadora 1.3.1f06 (the last release version before Isadora 2.0) that would prevent Open NI Webcam from working. Even if you haven't upgraded to 2.0, download v2.0.5 from the main web site. You won't be able to use the 2.0 features if you haven't upgraded, but there are lots of useful bug fixes nevertheless. [@Maximortal](http://troikatronix.com/troikatronixforum/profile/Maximortal) is right: you need FFGL plugins to use Spout, and those are only available if you have purchased the 2.0 upgrade. Latest build of Airbeam (2.0.1 build 2) and Airbeam Pro (2.0) have some quirks... Been on to tech support for a few days and results are thusly: 1) Avoid apostrophes in your device names (settings > general > about > name for iOS devices, System Preferences > Sharing for OSX) - can result in a frozen or blank feed. Preview thumbnail works, but feed doesn't. 2) iPhone 4 & 4S do NOT support H264 stream, only mJpeg. H264 will be removed from options for these devices in next release. When set to H264, again, preview thumbnail works but feed doesn't. 3) iPhone 4 does NOT support camera format higher than medium. For equivalent of 'High' pre airbeam2, set to medium, and set streaming res & quality to perfect / 100%. 4S and above are fine. 4) Glitch in Airbeam pro on Retina Macs can result in you seeing a zoomed view of the lower left quarter of the camera view. Unfixable once it's occurred. This will be fixed in the next release which should clear on the App Store within the next week. 5) Motrr Galileo control from Airbeam Pro - slow crawl. No centre-on-clicked-target support. Am awaiting news on this. Constant rate pans no longer doable. Control is manageable via iPad as a better alternative for time being, but still can't set a constant pan going and leave it. Will update when I hear more...!

I don't own one but my friend is beta testing one. Seems to work very well. Here's a rendering of a scan of my head. (I turned the specular highlights way up when I rendered this with Isadora so that it would look more like plastic; if you turn those down, it looks far more realistic.)

I tried with Midi-Ox since I am on Windows, but I dont get any signal. Seems the controller doesnt send out anything. Now I built my own Tap-Tempo in isadora with the Tap Tempo-actor an the Pulse generator. In geberal it works but it does not seem to be precise. To test that I played a click from a clicktrack-audio-file and set the actor to the same BPM (e.g. 85mpb). After about 10 seconds it starts to differ. Any Idea what I do wrong?

That node-RED looks VERY interesting.

I do this with spare old MacBooks & Mac Minis. Each takes a camera input by FireWire and uses tcp-syphon to send to the master machine doing the mixing (my MBPro)... I presume the same is doable in PC land via Spout if you have access to old towers etc that could be run headless.

To activate the stage automatically go to the Isadora preferences and click the checkbox "Automatically show stages" you find it in the general tab. The "enable serial ports" should be saved with the Isadora file.
