Many thanks for ther expanded and well rounded guide to the SRT actor.

It makes a lot of sense. From the start, I had my SRT file(s) in a different folder due to jumping around doing numerous items. I did not think this would be part of the issue but I should have known better.

To confirm, via your guide above, I can get the SRT actor to work correctly and the subtitles appear in my variety of test movies. 

I have missed the boat for this particular occasion. The request was on Sunday for a presentation/opening on Monday am. I will happily keep this guide in my bag of Isadora's tips and tricks.

Many thanks for the effort and time put in to explain and clarify how best to use this actor. As usual, it is much appreciated and I am grateful for the back up and support these forums always offer.

so I finally tried the patch (actually a while back), and strangely the video coming in was running at an extremely slow frame rate (although my input is SD).

Not being very good at QC I gave up.  At least this time I saw some video.

Hi @Mark - I just upgraded to 10.10 and the offending processes are no longer showing up in the  monitor - as predicted. NIMate is still a bit angry, but only hogging up to 80% CPU, but its not an Izzy issue, she's only using 12%.

Yes.  I got it working by highlighting some text and then adding the file. It makes the text the link. (Don't need to add the name.)

unfortunately you can't download it yet, Fred accidentally used them in his patch he posted here, so it turns up in the patch but is not working if you don't have f27. So please be patient until it will be released to all. But you can do all with the syphon server and syphon client from the v002 page.

@mark This is driver dependant, it depends on what the manufactures have written support for. With VB audio cable via the manage audio devices settings I see a quadrophonic output.

@fubbi great !! No more driver nightmare for DMX !!! Thank you a thousand times. Also because with Sonoma arriving I was worried that would cause DMX nightmare.

 Well, to be very clear: going from CPU to GPU is fast; going from GPU back to the CPU is slow. ;-)

I don't experience this either.
But for a workaround you can make your settings and then take a snapshot (the camera symbol on the left top) and with the "recall snapshot" actor and the "enter scene trigger"  you can automate recalling the snapshot when entering the scene.

thanks a lot for your help, I really appreciate it! @fubbi, I will check it out, this was exactly what I wanted to do and the thing is that I'm very new to processing and have very little time ahead of me to make this work. I've had the amazing contribution of DusX with his cool little app, he also played with the contrast internally so that you can get more detail.  I still intuitively feel with my little experience that minimising the scan distance will help the kinect get the right information. Worst case scenario, we're even considering having her move on a rotating stool, so that she's a bit detached from the floor. Will let you know how this is developing. It's been quite a saga.  But with all you guys helping out, it feels like a solution is close! Thanks

I've tested it and you can control it using the PTZ image control when connected over USB-C.

I must admit that i never connect the Obsbot and always use it wirelessly and control the camera using the app or OSC.

Thank you for sharing your actors. Where am I supposed to place all of the files I've downloaded? And, do they work with Isadora 2.0.5?

In the development roadmap Izzy will have these actors as GPU based in the future. For now, in 2.1, a few more gpu actors have been added. In the meantime keep the things you need interactive and do the rest non real time as I mentioned, as the new gpu actors are added (should be by the end of the year), add these functions to your patch. You may also find there are ffgl plugins that will do the same - for these you need v2 there are a bunch of posts in the forum about ffgl plugins and where to get them.
