I think I would output the 'filled' map as White, and then create the 'cutout' as black. Add a blur to the 'cutout', Matte them together and use the output as a mask. 
So to do that using IzzyMap you would need tow virtual stages, for the 2 shapes, grab the stage images, blur/mix and then apply as a mask before sending to the output projector.

Have you looked into Using IzzyCast within Isadora 4?
It uses the zoom backend for video sharing, and then you have all the power of Isadora to do what you like with the stream.

This actor uses the UVC (USB Video Class) standard, doesn't your camera offer its own control method, OSC or something? (I recall there was something).

It may be better to use that if available. Unfortunately we don't have a OBSot to test with. 

A quick test of my UVC supporting webcam (it provides digital zoom, pan and tilt), and I can see that it only supports moves or 6.25 increments. So with 'get values' = on, I can see that the 'cur pan' only changes in 6.25 increments and this is a limitation of the camera itself. You may want to see what increments your camera allows for both Pan and Tilt.

Not a bug. The online file that Isadora checks against to see if it's up to date intentionally hasn't been updated yet because we generally let the release sit for a little bit before changing the file which will notify everyone on launch when a new version is available.

Knowing your Isadora version, computer specs, and OS is very helpful when troubleshooting.Does accessing the dialog via this menu option and making a selection result in different behavior for you?This issue is very unusual. The most likely thing I can think of that might cause this is that somehow the directory where the file is stored (the same place as Isadora Preferences) is somehow extra-protected on your computer, if the security settings on your computer prohibit applications from creating .plist files without being given explicit write permissions, or if the "Preferences" folder somehow has a different name or file path then Isadora is expecting (or maybe contains non-ASCII characters in the file path that Isadora can't handle for some reason). On a personal computer, this would be very usual, but it's more likely if you're using a computer that belongs to a company or educational institution since they often have increased security, reduced permissions, and/or are re-imaged regularly. Any of these would result in Isadora being unable to record your choice into the proper file and therefore every time you launch Isadora it would check if the file exists, not find it, think it has never asked you before, and show you the dialog again. It could also happen if your computer gets re-imaged regularly (thus wiping the file) or if you're running Isadora in a virtual machine that doesn't save new files, (perhaps for cybersecurity purposes). All of the options I've mentioned in this paragraph would mean you have a highly unusual setup (which most people wouldn't use because it would be very impractical for this kind of work). TLDR: Isadora could behave like this, (asking over and over even after you make a selection), if the file that records your choice is getting repeatedly wiped, isn't allowed to be created, or can't be found by Isadora.

it is always going to start out low res and low quality, but you can smooth out the image slightly if you are OK with losing some definition. I use Scaler to increase the resolution of the image, that gives me more pixels to work with, even if the source image is still low res. A combination of Gaussian Blur and Threshold will produce smoother outlines that match your scaled image.

Thanks for publishing the solution. It worked in my case also to downgrade the AMD driver version to Adrenalin 24.3.1. Just a question: Do we have here an AMD problem or is Isadora's detection of the OpenGL version incorrect? The information in the Isadora popup indicates some discrepancy between the information the hardware info delivers and the detection of Isadora's startup routine.

Anyway, it works. I turned off the AMD update detection and hope not to get issues in other software.

Are you using the Kinect V2 with the OpenNI Tracker plugin? (TROIKATRONIX : ISADORA - OpenNI Tracker)
If you are wanting to use it for body tracking, it should work with this plugin if you follow the instructions (require running in Rosetta mode on non-Intel macs)

And regarding your second question;

I use the 'Output' value; the output is either a 0 or a 1 (a number value), if you connect that to a true or false (a boolean value) it causes 0 = false and 1 = true

That way we don't need a Trigger value.

Thanks for the guidance, it was very helpful and made our show possible. In the end, we used the timecode audio track.

I am going to look into the timecore device in the near future with the view of improving on what we have done so far.

 Since you have extend screen set, I assume you have more than one display connected. The second display is likely projector since you are mapping?
You need to change which display the stage is assigned to via the Stage Setup dialog. Once you set the stage to use the second display, you should have your output on the second display and still have access to Isadora on your main display. In this way you can open IzzyMap and make changes live. 

Additionally, IzzyMap has the ability to publish parameters for external modification.. this allows live adjustment via any input you like.. for example you could use the color of a video input to change the rotation of a mapping. You can publish parameters by right-clicking points and selecting to publish them. Then when you close IzzyMap you can adjust these values externally. I don't think this is what you were asking about, but it might be of interest.
