I did note that the pathnames to the assets did not change in the newly saved version

No, The project file and Isadora need to be re-opened, facilitating the Media Search. After this search (it should find the local files) it will save the new paths when saved. I was just suggesting, making a backup of the file before re-opening the project with Isadora, since it would be easy to save and loose the remote filepaths.  I'm working on another process right now for filepaths embedded in the project file. It won't be possible to get everything, especially for advanced Pythoner projects (shouldn't need to, if they follow best practices). Right now I can find, DataArray files, Top Level Python linked files, Files linked in Javascript via read() and include(), and I am able to expand this still. I will add .oni next and try to get a complete scan.  I think I will have this script output a report, that is human readable, and can be edited by hand. Specifically, per found file, an 'Include' setting, so that specific files can be excluded from the next step of collecting, which will be handled by another script.

I would set the 'size px' to 6, 'repetitions' to 6, and 'spacing px' to 1?

Sure, that will work. You may want to crop/chop your video to narrow down on the region/s you want to select color from. I generally select the section of video I want to analyze, then scale it down (as low as 6px by 6px for your case) and then feed that into the Matrix Color Send actor. By scaling down you are basically averaging all the colors in a zone down to the one pixel.
So for example, if you selected a 60 px by 120px area as the control area from your video feed, you could scale that down to 6x6 and get a fair representation of the colors on those 36 zones/blocks. Depending on your goal, you may need to experiment a bit to find the right balance of color blending vs accuracy.

@dbengali Hello! I couldn't replicate the issue with an Apple Pro Res 422 file nor a quick AVC codec saved via QuickTime Pro. I'm running on a MacBook Pro M2 / Tahoe 26.1 / Isadora 4.1.3

      Hi,
I usually do the chases using a sequence of [wave generator] shifting the phase depending on the amount of fixtures in the chase. The limit-scale allows me to set the max-min intensities of the chase.

I also use a Javascript actor to automatically assign the phases: This is actually not really needed since it's generally a one time job and you can do it by hand.

I hope this was clear. Don't hesitate to ask if I was not clear enough.

      @kosmopilot

As far as I know, you'd only potentially have trouble if you intend to use the Screen Capture actor with Isadora 4 on Tahoe. We've not had any other reports of issues with Isadora 4 and Tahoe as far as I know.

That being said, technically macOS Tahoe is not currently a supported operating system for use with Isadora 4. (This doesn't mean that Isadora won't work at all on Tahoe, it just means that we are still in the process of discovering what we need to update in order to unbreak the things that Apple broke for us in Tahoe.)

Yeah I've heard from reliable sources that NDI is on it's way out - moving to a paid subscription.

Thankfully I can confirm this is not the case. This summer, there was confusing messaging from NDI on this indicating that they may require commercial software to pay for a commercial license of their SDKs, but after the strong negative response, they immediately clarified that the free SDK is here to stay. CDN media

      Hi,

Yes, those are the right modules to use.

As identified, you will require a way to take the linear stream of numbers from the Matrix Value Receive across to the LanBox Channels inputs. To achieve that, in the Matrix Value Receive actor, I have specified a comma to separate the values (as in CSV), a script can then be prepared to return each value individually. Isadora offers a range of ways to implement scripts to parse data including with a Javascript.

The Matrix Value Receive actor has an assignment mapping when you double click on it. It is there where you will correlate the channel input to the output stream.

The Matrix Color Send has a video input and I have used the Get Video Size actor to return the pixel dimensions of the video stream (in my case 650 x 650 pixels). I am then using that information to determine the inputs for 'repetition' and 'spacing' of the 1 pixel rows indicating where the video is sampled for its intensity as an input 'grey', greyscale image.

I have prepared an example that resolves what you are doing with the Matrix Color Send module... here.

      best wishes

      Russell
