I would like it if there were an XML file that Isadora would look for next to the file, were we could set/override Isadora settings.
If not there use the current Isadora settings as it currently works. If file is found, use them.
Doesn't require a format change, and allows a ton of flexibility.

Sorry for the delay in responding. The fact that the "Convert User Actor to New Format" comes up in the pop-up menu is a mistake. This should only appear when you right-click (control-click) a version 1 User Actor -- which is from a long, long time ago. I have recreated the bug and it is already fixed for the next release. But for now, don't choose it on anything except a User Actor. (And probably not even then, because it is only for this very old version of the User Actor.)  If you are having a crash with the Float to Integer, it is simply because something is different in your patch. If the error happens consistently, you can send me your patch to mark [atta] troikatronix [dotta] com and I will investigate. Best Wishes, Mark Best Wishes, Mark

How urgent are you waiting for arnet. I have been using a bit from openframeworks, pretty easy and very reliable. I also use QLC+ which is cross platform (even now on rasberryPi). It is not inside izzy but with OSC control ti is pretty nice to use. On the Pi you access the system via a webpage and you can create complex lighting cues (I think it is easier than programming lights in Izzy as it has scene and fixture support that propagates changes through your show. I was trying to do everything in Izzy as well but for moving lights and colours it is a bit of a pain when you have a lot of fixtures. With QLC+ (which is free an dopen source) I can create complex scenes and chasers and then control them from izzy. As it is a lot more than just next cue control as I edit and re-arrange my show the changes are followed by the lighting controller. At 50 bucks for a PI and free software it is a pretty neat way of running things.

It's acknowledged on the VIDVOD blog as coming soon - Mark and the rest of the beta team are testing it ready for a release. I can't say much more but keep your eyes and ears pealed.

I had a look to Mobius, from circularlabs, very interesting but not so easy to use ; its documentation is large, and it seems to be the best choice for Windows users. I found another one for Mac only, SooperLooper : [http://essej.net/sooperlooper/](http://essej.net/sooperlooper/) Both can be controlled by midi triggers from Isadora, so can be linked to Buffer actor. I dont have a 4 k screen but I tested playback with 4k prores on a mac with 2.004 and it was fine.

Even better and yet unique would be a feather like Softeging per Slice side!

My sense is, for many users, renaming a scene happens a lot more often than renaming an actor. Thus Cmd+R is Rename Scene (more frequent, less modifiers), and Command-Shift-R (less frequent, more modifiers) is Rename Actor.

But I would very much like to add the ability to define your own shortcuts for a future version. I'm sure everyone would like that. But, with all the other features added to 2.0, it was not something I could do for the initial 2.0 release. Hopefully a little ways down the road we can do it. Best Wishes, Mark

@lucadiroma2004  This is more complicated, as i mentioned above getting access to these outputs is tricky. I am pretty sure Isadora uses an OS level, not api level access to these outputs. In many cases these 2 outputs in the ultrastudio 4K are for full frame 3D and can usually only be accessed by asking the system to initiate a full frame 3D output (which is probably what your broadcast play out software is doing- and it probably uses the SDK from blackmagic to do that (without calling the full frame 3D settings it will duplicate the image on both outputs as you are seeing). You will have a bit of research to do to find this out but as a temporary solution you can use 2 HDMI outputs to get the same effect and run them through the ultrastudio to resync them and covert them to SDI.
