i see, so with time and good choices ;-) I have plenty to test now ....
Although I'm not sure I can get the same smooth effect around the character that some zoom.us background do... digging with alpha mask seems a good solution !
@Armando I've understood what the problem was. I downloaded png marked "transparent" from the web.... but they weren't. hahahaha Tranparency always worked the same.
displaying RGB, Hue and potentially hex values as the counter cycles through 360° hue spectrum.
Using a different approach to @DusX, here's a user actor that a uses the Logical Calculator to shift the various components of the color (which is a 32-bit integer with A, R, G and B as 8-bit values) into the right place and then output them as integers that display as hex values. (I am not sure if you needed a string output or integer outputs.) Anyway, for what it's worth.
Hello can you provide us more information. What Operating system are you using and what codec does your movie have. And maybe a screenshot of your patch.
I keep recommending the teensy for this. It is an arduino clone that can act as HID or midi interface. Its not difficult to program it to once and for all to have input/output pins on midi notes.
If you are going to do it once, then I strongly reccomend the teensy. Or if you want to go wireless and want to put a bit more programming effort into it, then look at the ESP32 where you can use bluetooth low energy or a webserver to trigger.
The Mac OS patch I recreated from @SherLynn description and indication did not have any unexpected behaviour. @SherLynn would need to provide the file.

@jfg wow I can't believe it was that easy - I thought it had to be checked just to enable them, didn't try unchecking. I feel dumb but that's what forums are for I guess. Thanks!
