I had Qlab send a MIDI **Program Change **message as a trigger to a Program Change Watcher in Isadora message to Isadora on a second computer. Worked flawlessly for a month with shows every night and it was a complex show build. For multiple cues inside one Isadora scene I used a sequential trigger actor hooked up to the Program Scene Watcher. The last trigger in each scene triggered the jump to the next scene. 
Very happy. Computers were networked over ethernet... to be sure no WiFi drops outs and so were on same network... if I recall correctly... I could look up my notes to double-check how I did the networking if you still need more advice on that part?

PS that previous post has a triple projector user actor I created.  Let me know if I did it right... never shared an actor on here before.

It works! Best choice at the time, great php code, very easy to setup and edit.

I run a quick test. It is difficult to do so without your media, however replacing these with my clips of same size(and PhotoJPG85%) I have notice only one thing so far. When stage2 activates the performance drops 50%

Thank you for the comments. Iv'e been using the sequential trigger which seems to work fine at the moment, but i'll give the comparator actor a go just incase something goes wrong in the performance. Yes, it is OSCulator i'm using.

Are there specific actions you would like to have shared with Isadora via an API?

Let me know as I have my first few, but I am looking to extend the feature set now that the framework is solid.

Yeah I'm using a couple wireless surveillance camera systems into isadora via XLR8 interfaces. Since the distance from the stage to the tech booth is close and its all line of sight I'll be ok with the setup. Also being a simple SD video signal helps with the gritty look I want.

Gapworks, your solution sounds good. I think I will try it when I need higher quality video feeds. I have to also stop being scared and learn the whole syphon thing...I got into this whole thing as a lighting designer and cinematographer so too much computer stuff kinda spooks me which I really need to get over.

the difference/calc brightness is the way to go. the image gets brighter when there movement increases. it works with any camera and ist just awesome, blew my mind first time I tried it back in the day.

@ Fredvailland. Unfortunately "no mixed marriages". I posted this elsewhere in the forum but I have some answers. USB and THUNDERBOLT intensity shuttle DON'T work together because even if you install the 2 different drivers only one is read by the system and the one is read is determined by which kind of device you plug first. If you plug thunderbolt the usb is not seen as usb device and viceversa. 2 thunderbolt (even one intensity and one minirecorder) are ok and read as 2 devices both from the Blackmagic system preferences  and Isadora). Same thing for USB.

@fubbi: i just used it on a curved screen where i had a lot of distortion - as long as you have a strait horizontal or vertical line after the warping / mapping you can use it -because you can say on which horitontal or vertical pixel (on the projector panel) the softedge starts...in case you have angular lines - yes - it is useless...

I'v done text movies with livetype app and it's much better with native animation codec (25 fps) then convert in prores 422 (15 fps) or aic. I didn't expect this result.

I can imagine than a few people are using 3D objects...  But, sometimes, directors absolutely want that kind of effect in their play.  I'll try to use meshlab, that I didn't know and, thanks Michel, I forgot blender (not a 3D expert...) Still happy to see how efficient can be this forum. Matt

nothing has changed,since the 3d renderer needs a projector too,so the problem persists.....
i think there's something wrong cause a projector is a projector any way,and it can only project a screen,even if it is 3d,that just means can be moved in a 3d space....
