Mac or Windows? What version? Does it crash on a specific scene? need a bit more info please?

I understand camera naming but device id recognition is interesting for stability and assignation (imagine a 15 different set up in isadora and being obliged to reassign each one is a hard thing;-*...)

But as i'm quite new to isa, users may have a solution to send camera input to all scenes at the same time?
through a macro maybe?

I only experienced crashes

in bad wireless set up with jailbroken device,
nevertheless, despite jailbreak seems shity it offers a lot of interesting things by modifying os, design is sadly the main but also features regarding background status of apps (maybe a way to go further than apple restriction and let epoccam working backgrounded while openning touch osc to send accel and gyro datas... didn't test yet ...) but also when a cam is connecting, which is a problem to change the set up on stage (switching on device, or connecting back after connection lost)

If you look at the boygrouping function in vvvv it (with some preparation) do a pretty good version of what you want. There are huge differences to video and audio obviously so not all of your VE pro parallels will work but it is pretty advanced. As above if you need to pass frames between machines it is not easy. I often use a setup with a hardware video mixer with 3 aux feeds. All the computers output to the mixer, all cameras also go the computer and capture boxes on all machines are hooked up to the aux outputs of the switcher. This means I can pass any signal to and from anywhere, including passing the output of one machine to the input of another for further or simultaneous processing (one machine taksa camera and does motion analysis and another takes the camera to generate live key effects and data is shared.

This was pretty rudimentary to setup and could have become a very advanced system had I needed it to be. This in conjunction with something like the vvvv boygrouoping and a file server and high speed network would get you what you want, you could access any singla and any file from any machine and combine and mix outputs of several computers to make a composite image. There is no out of the box solution but boygrouping takes care of most of the KVM hassle and a file server and a hardware video matrix and capture cards let any image go anywhere for processing, the rest is your imagination. Oh and by the way even with this setup if you are creative about distributing the work the latency in a system like this can be quite low (I can get 3 frames in to out with processing)

So I got my patch working in  v 1.5.3 and then it got slower and slower, the sound stopped playing so I toggled the players and all was well again. Decided to switch to laptop and the program crashed on quitting. So I copied the first 30-odd lines and tried to submit a bug report. That doesn't work now... what does this mean?

I did do something - I didn't restart the computer after upgrading. The icon showed b12, but it opened b4. I restarted and all is well. Sorry for the false alarm!

Cool. Syphon recorder should do the trick for you.

the stage output is defined in the source actor (movie,image,syphon …)

that makes it a bit harder to get the same image on multiple screens as a test you can route the stream via syphon  like that movieplayer -> syphon syphon -> screen1 syphon -> screen2 that is as well a way to go from core image to texture i think you loose a bit of video ram another way  if working with a dual head or triple head you can make the split in the projector and use the whole stage (e.g. 2048x768) as one output

I suggest you file a support request. I am able to connect to all of my available input options, and I am running Windows 8 64bit.

It would be great to be able to get the depth map from a kinect to interact with these bubbles!

Or better yet to be able to connect/attach given Actors to the specific comment field. Like a kind of open User Actor.

So I make a field where I can write comments and place Actors that are lockable to it. These fields can be moved, minimized, stacked - together with the Actors on it.

If someone is proficient in Quartz Composer they could build a HSL colour correction patch. Obviously Mac only but could help the OP.

There is also a useful Mac OS X Terminal command which may do the same thing. I often do this when testing Isadora to clear out all caches: sudo purge You'll need to enter your password after hitting return. Best Wishes, Mark
