You said that you tried this / had issues with it? Could you elaborate a bit more about your setup, what kind of sensor, what kind of computer are you using (Mac / Windows, and what version of the operation system)

@mark many apologies for this extremely late response.  I got caught up in tech and then no longer had access to the systems where i was running into this.

Current tests with Mojave and the latest NDI Watcher 1.0.1 -

NDI 4 Watcher 1.0.1 on Mojave Isadora 3.0.8 reports correct resolution

NDI 5 Watcher 1.0.1 on Mojave Isadora 3.1.1 reports correct resolution

in brief test, all is working as hoped!

I think you should be able to find a 'FFGL Tile' plugin that may replace the MultiVid actor, depending on your exact usage.

This might be supper obvious, but I have had issues running Isadora with other apps open on the same machine - namely Microsoft Office programs and there is the old chestnut of the Adobe Creative Cloud conflict that may be an issue for High Sierra.

@citizenjoe thanks for the info, very nice page! I was afraid that my machine had some issue, fortunately it isn't the case. I would like that the sound player had the same features that the movie player... and the windows version these of the mac! Cheers, AZ.

I bit the bullet, sold the Z820 and am going to stick my current 5960x workstation into a 4U shorty case with a 1080 and assign it double duty as a render node and traveler workstation. While less portable than a laptop (I work 99% of the time in Toronto), I have become increasingly interested in (obsessed with) Isadora and think this change will make for a very sizable change in performance. Thanks again @DusX for the information you shared.

Is it still correct that a Mac Pro with a faster CPU will provide Isadora with better performance than a Mac Pro with more cores but a slower CPU speed? ...assuming the GPU, RAM and SSD speeds are the same on both computers?

Specifically, would Isadora work faster with a 3.5GHz 6-core Intel Xeon E5 Mac Pro compared to a  3.0GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon E5 Mac Pro, both using the

Dual AMD FirePro D700?

Added a bit to my original post about using the Data Array actor with textfiles, containing my controller and note values, to map my midi controller to parameters. It is a super useful actor that made quick work of mapping the controllers, and allowed for flexibility in making changes.
