Usually, I avoid using sound player, using movie player instead to play sound (opening sound file in QuickTime Pro and recording it as .mov), I had less problem with it.

Yes this is possible, you have to use a jump actor for each scene and in each scene (do it once and then copy paste it) it's mode should be set to absolute.

Another question - in my preferences I have my frame rate set to 60 fps and the General Service Tasks set at 8x per frame. My normal playback frame rate runs at 60 or consistently very close to 60 fps, and the cycle rate is generally in the area of 450. However this evening during the show I noticed that the cycle rating had dropped to 1x the frame rate for all of the scenes that use video playback.The video playback nonetheless appeared smooth. After the show I restarted my computer, and the normal cycle rate was restored. I am wondering - how exactly might the cycle rate effect video playback? What might a sudden drop in cycle rate mean in real terms to Isadora's performance, and would a sudden drop in cycles indicate any issues with my system or hardware?

Just to follow up on this process, not that anyone is interested, but... I ended up using 12 Crops in GPU mode to divide my live camera input into zones. Then I added CalcBrightness to each zone with (right now) 3 levels of brightness which are triggering sounds and video as I make a graphic design. On my old MBP 5,1 I'm is running around 240 cycles, 30 fps @ 33% processor. That's sure to go up as I add details and complexity, but I'm please at this point. Thanks to Mark and Fred! John

I had this happen as well.

Searching for it in my 'Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features' turned it up. (left from a pete plugins I think) I uninstalled it, and installed the new plugins without any issue.

also note that you can take advantage of gpu based scaling in the GPU to CPU converter actor. This is useful for 2 reasons.  1- using a lower resolution for Eyes has always been a smart savings of CPU power 2- getting the lower resolution from the GPU saves addition CPU cycles.

I just filed a bug report of similar crashes, Yosemite as well. it only happened twice yesterday, problem didn't reoccur today (yet). I thought in my case it may have had sth to do with 2 installed Blackmagic PCI cards running 2 live cams at the same time as Kinoni's Multicam. Can't be sure however...

I was just wrestling with this very issue.  I'll check those initialize values, thanks for the tip!

The dll should be part of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package. (doing some searching I can't tell if its included in the 2012 package) The distribution can be downloaded here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555

What version of Windows is the fresh OS?
It may be that this file is no longer distributed with the OS.

Have you tried to add or remove Premultiply?
This isn't handled correctly for all FFGL and may be related.

After updating to Yosemite it works fine now! Seems to be an Issue of Mavericks. best
