thank you bonemap. For your working on this. The only solution I came up with is to create a texture map that is twice the required height, with the bottom half being an empty alpha channel. The pivot point will then be at bottom of the bitmap image.

Normally, you can receive a midi signal (note or controller) in multiple application (at least in MacOs), in my machine I can receive the same controller from my Korg nanoKontrol in Logic and Isadora, without using any other app.

for our next production we want to front-project on something like this,

frameless windows, hung a meter in front of the backdrop BUT when not in use, these should blend to the backdrop, becoming as invisible as possible, therefore should be black. We did a test a week ago, the competitors were this screen and three pieces of plywood, one painted with normal black wall paint, one with blackboard paint (both at hand) and one with a special projection color (expensive, 80€/l). The special projection color was the brightest, but not at all black, even a lighter grey than the screen, so useless and money down the drain. The screen was disappointing (but to excuse and quote Gerriets, they say 'screen with limited front projection capabilities' - indeed), the normal color was the expected looser, but the blackboard paint turned out to be the winner. Giving just a very little less brightness than the screen, the black was much better, so the overall contrast was the best. Before more fishing in/for the black, I would like to ask if there are any experiences/ideas from the community, to lead to more materials we can test. We will use this lense (btw a gorgeous one), so it is more a top/front projection.

@jhoepffner Check the optitrak forums, there are often older systems going cheap if you really want one, they are ok for smaller shows if you work with thier limitations. I toured with a larger system for a few years (after a smaller 8 camera rig) and to be honest it was amazing but a pain in the ass. You can do some amazing things, but the setup and break show after show was a bit of a nightmare.

the wings are just 2D image. Kinect is for tracking the body so Isadora knows where to attach the wings,

i'd recommend having a look at the Soundjack server (http://www.soundjack.eu/index....) for getting good quality audio quickly from Berlin, but i'm afraid I can't suggest ways of getting it into Isadora.

I don't know about Millumin, but from Isadora you can send PJLINK control messages with the tcpip actors.

As there are now a number of additional plug-ins for Isadora i.e. ArtNet and Rutt-Etra, it might make sense to have 'official' and 'User' submitted 'Add Ons' that can be searched by type, theme and version tracked. An easy way to link a forum discussion thread to a repository entry would be of benefit. A way for users to collaborate on specific developments would add to the community approach reminiscent of the attributes that have contributed to the success of this forum format. In terms of the viability of the submitted items - user community moderation and a company policy disclaimer that places the risk of use at the discretion of the end user. A flag function that allows notification of any issues that arise from the items use etc to be recorded.

I would say that the Data Array actor's internal working are relatively lightweight. While it's true that pushing out 240 outputs is going to be somewhat costly in terms of CPU, it's really no different (and more CPU intensive) than reading the OSC data in the first place. (In fact, it might be lighter.) So I would say this is a totally viable solution. The heaviest part of the patch will be connecting all those wires. ;-)
