Does this need to be digital? could it be done with a vision mixer? something like an Edirol V8 or a matrix switcher.

yup, obviously there was a lack of understanding.

i copied the midi note from the instrument layer to the external midi layer in logic. shame on me... now IT´S WORKING!!!! thank´s for your patience, michel!! by the way... yesterday we tried the solution with the midi interface emagic MT4 plus midi usb cable, works fine too. just more cables and an additional device. thank´s for your help!!! stefanie

anyway, selecting the window on the dock does "virtually" bring the selected window in front but not physically.. :)

Its just that I often work at 1024x768, but find SD content doesn't scale as sharp. I prefer to drop my footage down to 512x384, for 2 reasons, I feel that its sharper when doubled up to 1024, and shaving the SD down gives me a lot more room to play with FX. But that's just me, and is just personal preference.

I am using a collection of actors (my framework) for a number of different projects now.. and have been having some trouble maintaining/updating them globally. A big part has been my lack of true understanding [but I'm working on that ;)

DusX speaks the truth. Use windows native codecs when you can -- much more efficient than QuickTime formats. But if you're scrubbing the video using the 'position' input, or want to play movies at a speed other than 1, you must use QuickTime as the Windows playback mechanism doesn't support anything other than forward playback and normal speed.

Also, Patrick, using 5 x 1280 x 1024 is going to tax any system, especially if the video is of a matching resolution. You may need to investigate an SSD drive to keep things running smoothly. Best Wishes, Mark

Isadora is a 32-bit app for the moment. So you should be able to run it on 32 or 64 bit fine. I've had no other reports of 32 bit users not being able to run the program.

You may want to go to c:\Users\YOUR_NAME_HERE\AppData\Roaming\TroikaTronix and delete the preferences. Also, if you have any third party FreeFrame plugins (see c:\Program Files\Common Files\FreeFrame or c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\FreeFrame) you may want to temporarily rename the FreeFrame folder to something like FreeFrameX so Isadora will not try to load these plugins. Also ensure you have the latest version of QuickTime for Windows. Best Wishes, Mark

Well, I did my install on 10.6.8 -- so I don't know about 10.8, and unfortunately I've got more important "fish to fry" at the moment. I refer everyone to my original post, where I said:

It works well for me. I had try before this solution before without success because I use it with the AU Varispeed and it don't work in this configuration. Only with AU Audio File Player. With AU Pitch or Distortion it works great.

That is what you should get and the included Kinect Power Supply allows it to connect via USB. You may want a Kinect extension cable to allow you to position it more than a few feet from your computer.
