 Yup I do the same. A slight Gaussian Blur is all you need. It's not perfect but it will get you quite far.

 How are you entering the font to the font input of the text draw actor? Are you typing the name, or using a trigger text?
Have you tried using selection menu provided by the font input when you click on the font name shown in the input. The list of fonts can be a little hard to work with if you have a lot of fonts installed. It will however ensure you are selecting a font by the correct name and that the font is recognized by Isadora.

I am very happy to be testing the new OSC address actor in the new Isadora beta. It really facilitates the workflow with OSC, as you can see directly in the actor the address where it expects to receive the data (and not a channel number like in the OSC receive actor).

Ideally, the controls could be addressed by OSC, as it seems will be possible in future versions. But in the meantime, here is a not too complicated way to do it.

I created a fader in TouchOSC that controls the slider control inside Isadora, and it works the other way arround. Hope it is usefull!

I've always done this. But I'm on Windows. The GIG partition has no antivirus nor most other stuff. I try to keep as clean as possible. Once in a while after testing in the "everyday partition" I allow the GIG partition to update.

Yes, I know. I was just trying to figure out what might be helpful and is possible right now. (I've just logged this request though.) I thought perhaps if no new (non-pure-black) frames were being sent via NDI the resource load might be lower (instead of always sending every new frame available in all your Stages). Additionally, if you were, for example, previously working with ten Stages outputting NDI all the time but only actually needed to use one of those NDI feeds at a time, this method would cut the resource requirement by 90% since you'd just use the Get Stage Image actor to programmatically switch which Stage's output was being sent out via NDI using the Virtual Stage, so depending on the use case, this method could save a significant amount of resources even though it doesn't let you disable NDI output.

Yes this or doing the same thing with Pythoner would be the only way to stop and start NDI output programmatically at the moment.

 In the case you describe (you want a specific size and are ok with stretch) I would use the Scaler actor. This ensures an exact resolution output.

Thanks I will look into the chopper actor- still very new to Isadora.

Do you happen to have an izzy file you could share with the configuration?  I can usually get a better sense of the functions of inputs and outputs if I can look at a working implementation and tweak to my needs.

I will be doing more testing later this week, thanks for your help

@dillthekraut  AHA! That sounds very reasonable, the part about not shutting down the projectors while the computer is running. I should know better since I have 17 projectors running various interactive attractions at my LBE and I always tell staff the computer goes off first.  That might be a help there.  I'll check the link too and see if I can do static projector identifiers. I'm optimistic thanks!
