There are several discussions looking for IR lighting, most of the cheap stuff leaves you with hot spots and without 50 to make even lighting they are hard to use. I have some pricy but very good wide angle pretty even lighting solutions. They are from santec, prices are from a reseller and will date fast I guess, you may find a cheaper source- check the angles and distance they are actually accurate.

It you pointed me in the right direction.  I can now get one of the 4 outputs working at a time. :/ I will try black syphon and see if it does what i need. Does anyone know if support for these devices is coming in a future edition?

Don't bother with the quadro, the extreme cost is for industrial computing applications, can be slower than a 980 with the same memory, push a bit more for a new 1070...

Matrox triple head can output full hd on a Mac.... only on 2 outputs. And since I have 2 I can have my four full hd outputs at last. Too bad...

Oh and I will back this for sure.

I'm not really sure what the possibilities of the AJA HA5-4K are but they say in the feature section: Supports quadrant (square division) and 2SI (two sample interleave) 4K/UltraHD SDI mapping. So I guess this should work.

Blackmagic box will output 4k or 4x full HD images in a 4K stream (or HD). Decimator does other stuff but is only HD. Decimator stuff is good and flexible.

I have been attempting to use VISCA commands via the new protocol **Sony** has established via their new **SRG-series PTZ cameras**. I have not been successful. 

I have been able to use hex commands via the VISCA port but would very much like to control PTZ via ethernet as it can also do POE (power and control) via a multi-camera setup with one ethernet cable.

@gapworks - I'm encouraged to hear that it's worked for you, as I will be attempting myself soon. I have one question...is your setup capable of 3840x720 resolution and 50htz refresh rate (or 50 frames per second)?

@vinceromanelli - Would you also be able to comment if the setup with the Dual Link DVI Adaptor can produce 3840x720 resolution at 50htz refresh rate (or 50 frames per second)

@jhoepffner Thanks for the check. I had actually gotten 3 outputs running with what must have been an older firmware and without using power desk, just telling OSX to make the big screen (this was a few years ago and I dont remember what version of OSX it was either. I tried a few firmwares with a triple head to go digital that I had lying around but no joy. It is strange that you did not get it to work on bootcamp, I would also guess it is the difference in the way the hardware is made for apple, ie it is not optimus and you cannot really select the gfx card in the same way. On the matrox site there is also a config checker that tells you what resolutions you can get from a machine with a specific gfx card.

thanks a lot. It is all fine now. I am using your lanbox light setup, a we bit modified, but it looks like there are no dmx crashes and no additional layers. 

For my next project I will try to find out how you organized all your lights just with 8 faders of your korg control interface. Can you link the fader to multiple DMX adresses?
