I saw many people are doing these nice interfaces, so I thought maybe it's time to go for something neat on my side as well :)

I want to organize my videos into different folders to keep it clean and found out that you can have your bins showed as different tabs in the bin picker, which is quite nice but...

There's no way to link the action of choosing a different bin in the interface to the bin index in the "Get media Index" for example? And no way to navigate through my tabs with keys or midi control?

I can't see the interest of having several tabs if you can't link it, so i'm hoping i'm missing something here! :)

(I don't know if what i'm saying is clear, so i'm attaching a little screen shot which could eventually help)

Don't forget that naming Javascript inputs and outputs is a feature coming in Isadora 3 ;)

About Newtek NDI, Jandraka advice makes me try different way of starting the devices and finally get the signal in NDI Syphon and Isadora. But when I try a little later, it was impossible to get it. Leaving and restarting several time each devices makes it finally work again, leaving me in perplexity... Have to try more later.

But I realize also my TP-Link router Archer C60 with its 867 Mbps speed is probably not strong enough to deal with the full quality video without important lag...

@juriaan I am new to Isadora - I did not know about the data array. However, javascript suits me as each line has a separate output, so I am storing each line in an array.

@srubidge I have a show I am running where the audience votes throughout the show using coloured handheld fans. The votes edit videos throughout the show.

The trailer is from the premiere before we got nice voting things made.

I still had a few questions to @Mark because you did get a correct output in certain cases. He gave me the following answer:

When the output is text, the conversion is done inside Javascript, where the floating point number stays in the 64 bit space. That produces a correct string result. 

The JS actor outputs as integer by default, connect it to a text actor to mutate the output to text.

Hi everyone, and many thanks for all your input, truly appreciated.

I should have mentioned this is a research project, more a case study regarding the bidirectional communication between systems than a performance itself. 

The goal is for us to study and understand the possibilities (and “less possibilities”) to use our systems for expressive movement analysis in performing arts, and the idea of body mapping was just a “small” extra we added to increase our enthusiasm with the experience. 

I agree with what @mark_m mentioned, that if we limit our ambition and keep the project simple we’ll be able of getting something reasonably convincing. 

Also going to watch the tutorial on infrared tracking, thanks for that @mark. 

This topic is getting quite interesting I have to say, please feel free to keep the discussion happening, as new ideas may arise from it.
